i went up past the line as the light turned red and angled my car so i could view the traffic and turn.

i didnt go out into the intersection but in order to turn right at this intersection you have to go up past teh line to view the traffic. the light was turning red as i passed the line so i guess thats why i got ticketed but i dont think i did anything wrong.

its a 50$ ticket and says "if you choose to have the matter reviewed by an adjudicater you must submit a 50$ bond payment prior to scheduling a hearing" WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN???

do i have to pay 50$ to attempt to get it thrown out? is that refundable?

YOU PAY $50 TO HAVE IT REVIEWED.

IF IT IS DROPPED YOU GET $50 BACK, OTHERWISE THEY KEEP THAT SHIT.

I have a question.

Suppose there are two right turn only lanes and both have right turn red and green lights, can you still make a turn on red if there's no incoming traffic?

I ask this because I used to wait for the arrow to turn green, but then one day people started honking and I had to move. Eventually, I saw everyone making a right turn even from the penultimate right lane on a red arrow.

Will I get a ticket in the mail cuz the intersection had cameras.

just because they honk doesn't mean you have to go

if there is not a "no turn on red" sign, then you are free to turn right no red, however, you are still required to stop, look, then turn. you can't just roll through the red.

then you broke the law.

Go ahead and go and try to have it thrown out. They will show you a video, tell you you lose, and keep your money.

Or you can save the trouble and send the money, and stop BEFORE the line next time.

You call that idiocy because you envy us, however i pity you for not being able enjoy these luxuries. Hopefully one day you will have both the will and resources, but with you attitude, i highly doubt that you will get anywhere in life."

ITs a civil fine anyway so I dont know what means they have of collecting. Probably put a block on your registration renewal or some shit.

There's no way you'll get out of this ticket IMO. You are supposed to stop at the line regardless of whether or not you plan to turn right on red.

I don't even think redlight camera tickets do anything to insurance, so I'd just pay that $50 and never make the same mistake again.

There is no stand involved. It is a civil fine levied by the local government. It is not a criminal charge. It carries no insurance impact whatsoever & no criminal/driving record. I would assume if you wanted to challenge it legally (after appealing) you would have to in civil court.

^^^^Yeah, you'll just get a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic. (like when you're going to slow)

I turned right on yellow and the camera flashed but someone told me it was because the camera doesn't know if I was going straight and running a red light or turning on a turn arrow.

There's no such sign there, but does it mean that the red arrow has no significance?

I was stopped before they honked so I guess I am safe.

i see i was technically wrong and lose 50 bux now but theres no logic in stopping at the line of a fresh redlight if you plan on turning right. i eventually stopped but the line is a good 10 feet before you actually reach the first crossing lane. on the video (you can view them online now) it shows me go through the line and stop (it appears i stop in the intersection). every light was red at the time i crossed the line. there was really no point in stopping where i did stop. this is right near my house so i knew that i needed to go well past the line to actually "get out there"

its the most bullshit ticket ive ever faced
