Ok.. so lets look at it this way.NCSU has three first round draft picks in this years draft. Now let me tell you why this isn't a good thing.1. This shows you how absolutely AWFUL the NCSU Football coaching staff is. We have this type of talent.. yet we can't beat teams like Wake Forest and Carolina. Also, while Mario, Manny, and McCargo were here.. we never played in a TRUE bowl. I'm sorry but the Tangerine Bowl against Kansas and the Toilet Bowl against S. Florida don't count. I've seen pop warner teams that had more competitive games.2. This also shows you that Chuck the Fuck can't graduate anyone. But who blames Mario or McCargo?? I wouldn't want to be part of this embarrassment we call a program either. On the positive side, it does give us some good media attention and hopefully it should help recruiting. But.. none of that seems to matter if YOU CAN'T WIN GAMES!!That's my word.

you know, our defense has never been the problemand all three players drafted played defensethink about that
4/29/2006 7:06:25 PM
it just goes to show you how bad our fucking qb's were
^^^Agreed ^10,000,000
4/29/2006 7:07:01 PM
lock/suspend/deleteAnyone who knows football and saw us play knows that our D had one bad game against UNC...thats it last year. You've been listening to Michael crackhead Irving too much today. He obviously hasnt done his research, and neither have you apparently.
4/29/2006 7:10:12 PM
Yes, we have doo doo QB's... that's an accepted fact. But after all, DEFENSE wins championships. And no matter how bad QBs are.. other teams still scored points. We couldn't stop UNC. We couldn't stop WF. It's a fact.. look at the stats!!Yes I agree with you all about the fact that we have bad QBs... but seriously, with that type of defensive talent... you should not go 6-5.No discipline + No finish + shitty coaches = NO CHAMPIONSHIPSabsolutely ridiculous

grow up peter pan, count choculahow do u think it feels playing defense knowing your offense cant score or move down the field and u are on teh field 75% of the game...imagine if ur working with another guy on a project to move bricks from one place to another and you are doing 75% of the work for 4 quarters...yepppppppppppp[Edited on April 29, 2006 at 7:13 PM. Ok let me make another point.Did the Ravens win the Super Bowl with a solid offense??? FUCK NOOOOOOO!!!They had the number 1 defense in the NFL; somewhat like the number 1 defense in the NCAA (which State had coming into last year).Point made.Quit sticking up for this sad excuse for a college football program. Be men; and accept the fact that our coaching staff couldn't win with the 1984 Chicago Bears. You all want to run Herb outta town, but when it comes to Chuck you get on your knees and blow his dick up and down Carter Finley Stadium... ALL THE WAY TO VAUGHN TOWERS. Get off you knees, look at the stats, and lets really do something to changes this program.I'm tired of 6-5 seasons. I'm tired of doo doo bowls. I want BCS. I want 11-3 years. Chuck is not the answer. Sorry, it needs to be said.
4/29/2006 7:26:00 PM
FIRE EVERY NCSU COACH RIGHT NOW! That is some people's only solution.
4/29/2006 7:27:24 PM
i have never once said that chuck is the answer or that he will lead us to an ACC title
4/29/2006 7:27:27 PM
sometimes i wonder if people really want this school to have an athletics program
4/29/2006 7:28:21 PM
baltimore was 14th in points scored in 2000i have a feeling we were below the 50% mark in points scored last year
4/29/2006 7:30:02 PM
haha, this has to be a joke
4/29/2006 7:30:11 PM
Well Herb should still be here, so lets not fire every coach (and by the way.. he walked away mainly because of FANS). But Chuck is ridiculous.. he hasn't proven himself after Rivers.. and he is all show. The man can recruit, yes, but he cannot develop, nor graduate, players.
4/29/2006 7:30:38 PM
SURE DID DEVELOP THAT DEFENSIVE LINE
4/29/2006 7:31:23 PM

Most of the NFL scouts worried that Mario Williams was not coached correctly (although they were excited to do better). He is a natural talent and Chuck did a great job in recruiting him.. but he didn't graduate.[Edited on April 29, 2006 at 8:13 PM. Reason : .][Edited on April 29, 2006 at 8:14 PM. Reason : .]
4/29/2006 8:11:57 PM
who were these scouts?i didnt hear one say he was coached poorly.
4/29/2006 8:15:37 PM
4/29/2006 8:16:39 PM
Did anyone expect Mario to stay and graduate in the first place? Also, I'm highly disturbed by your repeated use of "doo doo" as a preferred pejorative.
4/29/2006 8:22:34 PM
how shitty could the Raven's offense be if their RB ran for over 2,000 yards and over 100 during the super bowl game?
4/29/2006 8:26:06 PM
^ he was probably referring to the ravens of the last two years...
4/29/2006 8:35:04 PM

LOL....When the Ravens won the superbowl...Their offense was not great...we all can agree on that...but guess what else...they played good enough to support the defense. They had a running game that could at least make and land a couple first downs to sustain a drive. They may not have scored every drive, but they maintained clock control and ball control.Ravens QB did not throw the ball to the other team every game, every week, every fuckin quater. Our offense was shit...Our QB could not get the ball to one player consistantly whether they were open or even by their damn selves. When the ball did reach them, half the time they would drop a decent ball. And our Running game...oh my how pathetic. I agree with the defensive talent we had should have done better...but when you have no QB "talent" that can maintain an offensive your team is going to struggle. Believe that bullshit of Defense wins championships if you want to. (St. Louis Rams...there that defeats your Baltimore Raven claim to fame). A team wins championship. You can be great on one side of the ball but you have to be at least above average on the other side to be a champion. As for the we have a QB claim...thats horseshit...we did not plan for lilfe after Rivers and we are suffering from that. You call our program pathetic...and thus the reason for Mario leaving...I got one thing to say about that, when you can go and make the money as a professional and be a top pick, you go (take a look at good ole Matt L. Solid 1st pick last year, number 10 this year). III
4/29/2006 9:09:01 PM
you can compare the Raven's super bowl offense to our production in the second half of this last season. We weren't a scoring machine, but we managed to get a couple of first downs and manage the clock well enough to give our defense a rest. going 7-10 downs and then punting is all you need to produce when you have as much defensive talent as we did last year. As a result of this, we started winning games.[Edited on April 29, 2006 at 9:30 PM. Reason : Mario stated he was planning on leaving after 3 years when he came here.]
4/29/2006 9:30:03 PM
I think Marcus Stone was the after-rivers plan, but little did we know that he would turn out to be a raging dumbass. I hope he learns, but he's had 3 years he ought to be good by now.
4/29/2006 9:34:23 PM
i honestly dont understand the marcus stone hate.he won games and he has only been actually playing for half a season.watching jay davis cannot be good for learning how to play the game
4/29/2006 9:37:00 PM
It's fairly well known that rivers drove away recruits because people knew they were never getting PT
4/29/2006 9:37:36 PM
Marcus Stone needed Reps. He got a little better towards the end of the seasonHopefully, he can be halfway productive over the next 2 years... maybe we can field a decent team
4/29/2006 9:39:00 PM
that, and Amato isn't very good for recruiting offensive linemen either. what quarterback wants to be a tackle dummy for the ACC?Hopefully the new offensive coordinator will help out a little with the lineman recruiting.
4/29/2006 9:39:17 PM
Well, Mike Barry is gone now, so I think that'll help. I hate to see staff turnover, but good riddance to Barry.
4/29/2006 9:40:47 PM
Besides out QB not being D1 caliber (maybe even NCAA Caliber) out receivers did not help too often with dropping the good passes that were made. Damn if TE (shit drawing a blank on name) did not drop more than he caught...Oh yeah...penalties...we averaged what close to 100 yards per game...Great defense can't beat penalties...what the hell is is it worth to stuff them cold 3 plays to give them a first down and to get a first down only to have it taken away from holding, false start, shit....
