I have had this little Dachshund dog for about 2 years now. Every thing has been goin well, but one day I noticed (what appears to be an abnormality) with his testicles. I don't know what size they are supposed to be for a dog his age/size. But this motherfuckers hung like a Clydesdale.I was watching him play in the lawn the other day, and I swear it looked like he was draggin a pair of Shaquille O'neil's nuts behind him. They left a trail thru my lawn. However, they don't appear to trouble him in any kind of way. I just dont think its right. Usually I have dealt with larger breeds, but this is my first with this breed.

You should of had em clipped anyway. All you can really do is ask a vet though.
4/28/2006 6:48:17 PM
When will people understand that not everyone wants a sterile pet!! Some people breed their animals, some have no risk of their pet being bred, all the Bob Barker Nazi's need to back off of EVERY PET THREAD ON TWW AND NOT RESPOND TO THEM!! WE ALL KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY, BUT WE DON'T CARE TO SEE IT AGAIN!!!!!
4/28/2006 6:55:17 PM
go to the vet.you should be taking him to one anyway.
4/28/2006 6:57:38 PM
When the shelters are overflowing I think it's irresponsible to breed a dog. There's plenty of good ones that need to be adopted. Also, a clipped k-9 is more stable, thus you are happier and so are they. You can type in all the caps you want... you're still wrong.[Edited on April 28, 2006 at 7:02 PM. Reason : go to anger management too]
4/28/2006 6:59:35 PM
yea, i was never really for clippin them off. It makes the dog less aggressive, plus throws out the consideration for breeding in the future. I mean, my dogs nads look pretty badass from a human perspective. Who wouldn't wanna be hung like that ya know. I just wonder if its safe for the animal? He has never been bred, so they might need a little vacation. But ive had dogs in the past and this has never happened.
4/28/2006 7:01:44 PM
He should have swallowed the red pill.
4/28/2006 7:03:32 PM
I am not wrong, I said that not everyone wants their dog "fixed"--correct.I didn't say if I agreed with it or not, but that it happens and every thread about animals doesn't need a Bob Barker in it--correct.Padowack, hope you the little fella's testicle tracks out of your yard soon! Nothing about what I said was angry. This is tww, don't try to interpret my moods by my typing. The caps was an accident btw, but I'll leave it anyways.[Edited on April 28, 2006 at 7:05 PM. 4/28/2006 7:04:15 PM
I still say you need anger management classes.
4/28/2006 7:12:59 PM
Nevermind, this thread is for the dog, not your attitude. But I think the dog might should be checked out by the vet, unless someone has some insight on this particular subject. I had a dog that only one testicle dropped, but that don't have much in common with your dog! [Edited on April 28, 2006 at 7:19 PM. Reason : /]
4/28/2006 7:17:00 PM
Tell it to your shrink.
4/28/2006 7:18:04 PM
Look, I don't know what the hell is going on between you two. But i started this thread b/c my dog looks like he's half Dachshund half Michale Clark Duncan.
4/28/2006 7:20:00 PM
I tried to put it back on subject...
4/28/2006 7:22:37 PM
ok, its obvious.you need to develop a miniture jock strap for him.Probably go with some type of leapord print.
4/28/2006 7:28:38 PM
i would get it checked it out. A majority of male dogs left intact get testicular and/or prostate cancer. There are more preventable health concerns for intact animals than spayed and neutered animals. Even if you don't want to hear us bitch about you breeding your dog then be concerned with the health of your dog.
4/28/2006 9:01:59 PM
hahahahahathat shit was fucking funny.
4/28/2006 11:02:47 PM
he is asleep right now. An saint mother teresa these motherfuckers are huge!!! their color is a tainted turquoise color with little to no hair. I just watched him attepmt to roll over in his sleep, but he couldn't complete a full roll b/c he was weighted down. I think im gonna take him to the vet in the morning, this shit isnt funny anymore.Im afraid b/c I fear what they're gonna tell me. I hope this isn't cancer...
4/28/2006 11:32:46 PM
good luck and let us know what they say.
4/28/2006 11:34:44 PM
we need pics!
4/28/2006 11:36:10 PM
Sounds like your little fido has a serious case of Horseitis!!!! naaa dude, its about time you took that dog to the vet man. I was beginin to worry for him
4/29/2006 12:06:34 AM
4/29/2006 12:25:33 AM
^ive actually thought about thati so want to adopt when im ready to have a child
4/29/2006 12:27:45 AM
Okay humans don't have litters first of all.It really doesn't make sense to compare them at all.[Edited on April 29, 2006 at 1:07 AM. Reason : I am all for adoption of people too though.]
4/29/2006 1:07:27 AM
Taking him to the vet after I watch some of the draft, get somethin to eat, shoot the shit for a lil while and run some errands. You know priorities first. But Ill keep you guys updated.
4/29/2006 1:28:34 PM
dun da dun dun dunnnnnn....*drum roll*
4/29/2006 6:29:28 PM
4/29/2006 10:22:19 PM
well guys, theres good news and bad news. Bad news is, that it was a form of hernia (phew) and not some cancer like i thought, actually thats kinda good news. But this kind of hernia can/will develope into a tumor which can be severe/deadly. surgical procedures are 2500$ plus additional feesthe good news it that, that 2500$ surgery won't be taken place, and kong will just have to tough it out until this becomes severe. surgery isnt allways the best answer. ive researched dog accupuncture and herbal remedies, so thats prolly more along the lines of whats best for himit was kinda funny what the doctor said about him when he first saw him tho. he was an older man, prolly in his mid 60's and he goes I take kong in the room, and place him on the observation tableme: heres the problem, its kinda obvious. he's a rock star!!!doctor: son, you outta be arrested for havin this dog look like this. this is no laughin matter at all. how would you like it if your Fuckin balls were this ripe. parton my french. me: my bad doc, i didnt know it was that serious!!doctor: ...
4/30/2006 5:55:58 PM
some people shouldnt be allowed ownership of other living creatures.....
4/30/2006 5:57:34 PM
4/30/2006 6:09:47 PM
Yeah, i mean, if he isn't in a near death situation. And you said he was fine and in no pain. Then just let him chill out. I hate it when people take their animals to the vet every week, such a waste of cash man. I think that we forget they're animals and not human beings.
4/30/2006 6:19:05 PM
So wait...you're not going to fix them...? You're just going to do freaking accupuncture and hope it goes away? What the fuck. Pay a hundred bucks and have them chopped off already.
4/30/2006 7:02:02 PM
he never said if the dog was in pain or not... [Edited on April 30, 2006 at 7:03 PM. Reason : ^read...he said $2500]
4/30/2006 7:03:25 PM
Isn't this story starting to seem fishy to anyone else???
4/30/2006 8:31:27 PM
I just assumed the dog wasn't in any pain. I mean, he procrastinated on taking him in the first place so...he can't be in too much pain. Or maybe he can.
4/30/2006 8:36:24 PM
^^why does this seem fishy?^and no he's not in pain. He just dosn't like for anybody to tamper with them. I don't like for anybody to tamper with mine either!! Im just goin by the ole' saying "if it aint broke, don't fix it".[Edited on April 30, 2006 at 8:45 PM. Reason : .]
4/30/2006 8:43:51 PM
seriously though, one of the benefits of neutering your dog is this kinda stuff. i thought spaying/neutering animals gave them a longer/healthier life in general.
4/30/2006 8:46:48 PM
^^i guess your definition of "broke" differs from mine. that dog needs an operation, sound broke to me.
4/30/2006 8:52:38 PM
If you have enemies you can do what Van Wilder did with his dog...
4/30/2006 9:13:54 PM
^ where's the funnyI care about my dog. This is not some parody thread people!
4/30/2006 11:39:27 PM
^ no you dont care about your dogif you did you'd have neutered him previously to help avoid problems like this.if you did you'd pay to have him neutered nowif you did you'd pay for the operation
5/1/2006 12:26:45 AM
5/1/2006 12:49:14 AM
maybe you just need to make some eclairs
5/1/2006 12:59:40 AM
5/1/2006 2:44:15 AM
5/1/2006 4:50:11 AM
shoulda had him neutered
5/1/2006 8:21:17 AM
basically.just don't tell psycho... I mean, bethaleigh that
5/1/2006 8:31:38 AM
you people have it totally wrong!!! I care for this animal, i really do. My dog is happy today. Surgery at this point would be the equivalent to cosmetic breast enhancements for a human. Its just not needed!!Its a hernia that can go away on its own.
5/1/2006 6:02:40 PM
k so what happens if the intestines and such that herniated suddenly become strangulated and necroticoh, yeah if that happens he will have to have a much more complicated surgery or he will die
5/1/2006 6:09:52 PM
is it wise to breed a dog with his kind of problems?
5/1/2006 6:31:12 PM
^^^ Then don't say shit like this:
