"Fight Over Who's Next In Line At Store Leads To Deadly Shove
Kimberly Arnold Charged With Second-Degree Murder

POSTED: 1:39 pm EDT April 28, 2006
UPDATED: 4:06 pm EDT April 28, 2006

RALEIGH, N.C. -- One woman is dead and another is charged with murder in connection with her death after a verbal dispute at a Raleigh store.

Police say on April 18, two groups of customers were arguing over who was next in line at a checkout counter of Ross Dress for Less on Poyner Anchor Lane. Authorities say a group that included 39-year-old Kimberly Laverne Arnold, of Powder Springs, Ga., left the store. A short time later, a group that included 52-year-old Gina Boone Loeh, of Smithfield, left the store.

Police say both groups had a second encounter as Arnold was backing out of a parking space. After words were exchanged, investigators say Arnold got out of the car and shoved Loeh, causing her to fall backward.

Arnold was arrested and taken to the Wake County Jail charged with assault with serious injury. She was later released on bond.

Authorities say Loeh suffered a head injury and was taken to WakeMed. Over the next couple of days, police said, Loeh's condition deteriorated and she died April 25.

On April 26, an autopsy determined Loeh's death was a homicide. Raleigh police contacted Arnold, who returned to Raleigh Friday afternoon. She was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

The Raleigh Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed the dispute to call (919) 890-3555. "

Funny how two white kids allegedly rape a black girl and the national news media swarms down here and the black panthers reorganize and march. Then a black woman pushes down and kills an elderly white lady in front of her daughter and grand daughter and this short blurb on WRAL will be all we ever hear about it.

OMFG hey guess what about 30-40 years ago, short enough ago that our parents were still adults, there was a time that all a white woman had to do was say that a black guy had looked at her wrong and he'd get strung from a tree

lets cry some more about how horrible it is to be white

I'm in no way complaining or "crying" about being white. I was just pointing out the discrepancy in public opinion when instead of black on white the crime is white on black. You are very right that it was the other way around over 40 years ago (Civil Rights Act passed in 1964) but it wasn't right then and now that the pendulum has swung to the other degree it is still not right.

You are retarded.

The Duke situation got national attention because it was the DUKE LACROSSE TEAM.

This is just 2 random retarded people that got in to a fight.

^^not to mention, it was the question of rape versus an unintentional homicide.

i still think its ridiculous how the NAACP makes it a race issue. i'm sure multiple black women have been raped in durham since the scandal began. maybe the black community look inside.
