i was just thinking about this.Manny is predicted somewhere around 22/23...if theres anyway he's available at 27, I wouldnt doubt for a second that we'd pick him, considering we dont really have a desperate need for anyone and that Foxy is a D-minded coach and we've picked defense in the 1st round for like the past 5 years. wishful thinking but i really just think we need an NCState player out there.http://www.nfl.com/draft/analysis/expert/brandt/dl[Edited on April 26, 2006 at 1:07 PM. They need a RB

The panthers will draft the best availble player if that happens to be Lawson then i think the take him.

They wont take him unless they think he can become a true linebacker.

I think we could get LenDale white in the second round actually, his stock has dropped a lot with his injuries
4/26/2006 1:57:31 PM
there is no way he drops to the bottom of the second round. late first at worst
4/26/2006 2:06:20 PM
There is no substitution for in game performance. If White is there the Panthers have to take him, he is a bruiser who could certainly handle the load the Foster needs taken off his back.
4/26/2006 2:10:12 PM
I thought I heard something about LenDale possibly having a serious injury that could stick with him for a long timeprobably just rumors and bullshit
4/26/2006 2:11:31 PM
He has a torn hamstring.that has the potential to stick with him.
4/26/2006 2:20:10 PM
LenDale white is a steal at 27, he's injured right now, but if Vince Young hadn't made Swiss Cheese out of the USC defense (and every other defense he faced), LenDale is the Rose Bowl MVP, against a nasty Texas D. Keep in mind that USC's D wasn't anywhere close to as good as UT's.
4/26/2006 2:31:45 PM
I don't see us getting Manny though I'd love to get himI think he will be gone to a team that runs a 3-4 defense
4/26/2006 5:19:59 PM
The Panthers will trade up and draft D'Angelo Williams of Memphis or Laurence Maroney of Minnesota... they don't have to go too far and the Panthers hav e ahistory of draft day trades.
4/26/2006 5:23:05 PM
i think we can get a good RB without trading upalthough you're right, we do trade up sometimes like on Chris Gamble
4/26/2006 5:42:36 PM
Lendale wouldn't drop to the second round. The Steelers would take him as a Bettis type replacement[Edited on April 26, 2006 at 8:57 PM. Reason : nn]

he wont drop to the steelers
