I need a power adapter, would like one that converts one 4-pin molex connector rather than two, to convert to one 6-pin for a PCI-e graphics card.

anyone? this crap is expensive on the internet... and I need it NOW!

how much did you find it for online?

~$10 w/ shipping. i'd hate to have to spend that much for something like this.

you could try intrex. would probably be $10 too though

tried that, couldn't find it on their website. you're right though, prolly would be like $10 there too.

You realize that the reason they have the things use so many connectors is because they pull enough current to risk melting connectors, right? Not to be an ass, but if you do decide to just solder an adapter (which would be the easiest way to do this, because I doubt anyone in their right minds would actually sell a 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCIe video aux adapter on mass market), and plug it in, and fry something important, I will not be sympathetic.

i understand. for the sake of not loosing your sympathy, i will not attempt to solder a connecter myself. i'm not gonna risk a 7800gt for a freakn power connector. yes, i realize the reason for using 2 4-pin molex connectors to convert to a PCI-e connector but i figured somebody might have figured out a safe way to use 1 instead. anyway, i shall continue my persuit...
