I remember the OJ Simpson trial. The blacks were jumping up and down and celebrating when the decision was handed down, the whites were disgusted.

It looks like the Duke LAX rape scandal is going down the same path. Nearly all blacks are outraged, nearly all whites think the girl is lying.

I can't think of anyone I know that has a problem with it.

The one thing that would be weird to me is nappy hair... Have never felt it in my life so I can't imagine running my hands through a girlfriend's head of hair and it not feel like what I'm used to.

Let me go ahead and step in here. Indians are, unequivocally, the most racist people on the planet. White people have nothing on Indians when it comes to racism. Indians hate anyone that is not like them even other indians of othher sub-ethnicities in India.

I dunno about Indians as a whole, but people are racist on a case by case basis. You can reject your "culture" all you want, but you're still a darkie in this country and anywhere else you go, and that's all that matters. I have seen some very friendly black people, and some very racist white senior professors at UNC/NCSU. Racism isn't color. It's a case by case thing.

On this board, however, prejudice rules over reason.

And I am not hating on anyone. I am just going by what I see around me. All these non-FOB Indian kids are about white chicks. So I guess you could call them racist, but in the end it's because they wanna rebel against their first generation parents, making them unhappy in the process. Also, it is very hard to make inter-racial marriages work if you wanna please both the parents' sides. I am not talking about inter-racial sexual flings.

My sister used to date a black guy, she said it was no problem. Occasionally people would stare but that wasn't a big deal. I think a big factor in whether the relationship will be successful (any relationship really, not just interracial) is whether you have the support of your family. Both our families were fine with it - I know that a lot of white and black people would not be.

Not an issue in my family, but that's because they are extremely religious.

My brother is married to a Russian and has two shockingly beautiful children.

All my relationships ever have been with girls of very different countries/cultures/religions/races. I have not been with a single girl of the same country/ethnicity/culture. And only 3/11 of the same religion (but in a nominal sense). In chronological order:

so after you segragate races would you segregate ethinic groups too, cause once everyone is of the same race people find differences between each other to fight about, look at european, african, and asian ethnic clashes. They're all the same race but to them its like they are different races.
