Religion is the best conduit for hate and fear ever invented.

She's espousing a type of Old Testament theology that was meant for the Hebrew people. This stuff got wiped out when Jesus (and Paul) came along, at least in terms of covenant theology in Christianity.

This is the freaking Westboro Baptist church. If it weren't the media using them for shock value, they wouldn't be able to even organize as much as they have here to protest the funeral, or to get on national TV. They're a known nutty group. It's like giving the KKK equal face time with the Pope (or something, that's a terrible simile).

This is one of the cases where you can ignore them, and they'll go away.
