eh.. they might work a little.. i remember seeing a video where they dyno'd a car, then dyno'd it with a leaf blower attached to the intake... it added some power, but i wouldnt want that ghetto shit on my car

they dont create nearly enough boost. what they is is pretty much your heater blower hooked up to your intake if you are talking about the ones all over ebay. he is better off rerouting his vents into intake, that way he can turn on his a/c and have a cold air electric supercharger

those "chips" on ebay are also just resistors of the $0.79 variety from radioshack.

reminds me of when someone in the UK tried to sell the missing yamaha r6's 1500 revs. It was a joke, but people still bidded on it. The guy closed the auction early because people were "too" serious at the bidding.

OK in theory, the concept of an electric supercharger should work if it's coupled with an air bottle.

Say an electric compressor feeds an air bottle which is capable of 300+ bar pressure.

Then in peak usage, a valve opens and the stored air pressurizes the intake, adding boost. This would give a jump in hp comparable to a supercharger, but the charge would only last for a short time and it would take a while to build pressure back up. Somebody must have tried this before, right?
