i understand that. if i had a vehicle equipped with it, I'd disable it.

I'm just wondering about all of the people who DON'T disable it because they don't know any better (or actually prefer having it for some weird reason).

I never disabled it on my corvette and never had a problem.

i havent gotten around to killin that shit yet, but its annoying as hell. Never heard of it causing trouble though...

if a person still has skip shift on their sports car they don't deserve to make fun of any other sports car ever.

i'm sure skip shift would be the shit on a road course

it never kicks in unless youre dragin ass, which i dont do, so its not really an issue less someone in front of you is dragging ass...

They put it in to get the vette the fuel economy they wanted, also why they made it fuckin easy to disable...

^yeah, kept it out of the gass guzzler tax deal or something....Im sure it helps but i didnt get a vette for its fuel economy...

a 1-4 skip shift? the mere thought makes me cringe. fuck a resistor, they should have a button on the center console to disable something that horrible

i wouldn't think it would be a big issue for synchros because it's not like it goes right into 4th gear after you redline 1st

true, it's only at low throttle...but that's still a huge gap in gear ratios. lot of work for the synchro to do.
