do you have 220 wired? and what kind of connection is it?

that's the one i have on my extension cord, depending on how far the welder needs to reach from the wall plug

ha crap. i had that type of plug and just replaced it w/ the newer 220 kind w/ ground a few months ago. i could swap it back though.. only takes a few minutes. hrmm. is there an adapter?

and its about 6 ft inside the door to the garage. how long is the extension?

edit: mine does NOT have the center hole in the outlet. does your plug use that hole?

no, my plug doesn't use that hole. i think on the welder's plug it has the newer ground type plug ur talkin about. and the welder cord is like 5-7 feet and the leads on the welder gun and ground are ~10 ft. so it'd prolly work.

i am still running flux core though, if that matters to you.

if you need a welding job done, hit up a muffler shop. There's a welding/machine shop near the NC surplus near Chapel Hill Rd.

Sorry guys, I was hoping to get the weld job by noon yesterday because I was limited on time... guess I should have asked weeks in advance

So, at the last minute, I decided to run over to Tires & Parts in Raleigh and buy me some Thermo Tec exhaust wrap instead of welding on my heat shields.

Appreciate the help guys, thanks anyways

well aren't you just the resourceful one then. we could argue this forever, but whatever. you always have to be right so there, take it. i don't really give a shit. Either way...just ask. and since that is now established, this thread can go ahead and get buried.

oh don't forget to check my spelling
