http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/13/AR2006041301673.htmlThis was definetly the making of rove. But my question is why is this a "national headache for GOP leaders"? I dont like rove, and I think he is sneaky bastard, but why is this a story at all?

because republicans are evil. didn't you learn that?

The phone calls to the White House may well be a non-issue, but that shit was "dirty tricks" to the bone. Nixon may be dead, but his methods are alive and well.

honestly, at this point in our nation's historyit would take a LOT from either side for me to be like "wow, thats pretty bad..."like, a LOT

Oh come on, now."Randy" Duke's fee schedule for favors didn't strike you as "wow that's bad?"

but my point was, its karl rove. its not that nixon's tricks are alive and well, its that rove adopted them when he was in college (maybe earlier) and hasnt let go.at this point his shit isnt news. doesnt make it good, but still.

And my point was, it might not have been Karl Rove. It might well have been the fucker they've got under indictment. The actual crime committed is what I was commenting on.

While I may personally believe that Rove is a low down dirty bastard (he is) and/or had a hand in it (damn right he did), we should still reserve judgement untill we find out who actually schemed and executed the order for this bullshit in the first place.
