4/14/2006 10:56:04 AM
I definitely recommend looking into Americorps or Peace Corps or TFA for those worried about their debt. One year of service and half my debt was gone.
4/14/2006 11:20:22 AM
None for undergrad...will be lots of graduate school

4/14/2006 7:14:11 PM
six digits after undergrad and law school
4/14/2006 8:27:37 PM
If you really want to sweat it, 20k can be paid off in less than 2 years on an average college grad salary. It's not as scary as it looks.^and people definitely don't have sympathy for a future blood-sucking lawyer
4/14/2006 9:56:15 PM
$0 and my parents didnt pay for it
4/14/2006 10:14:42 PM

4/15/2006 5:48:39 PM

4/16/2006 10:08:26 AM
$0 because of my scholarship and I worked for pin money
4/17/2006 3:56:33 PM
even with scholarships, working, & a research grant i'm ending with about 10 k debt. not too bad i suppose, i know others with 3 times that debt.
4/25/2006 4:33:29 PM
^ include me in that "others" category$32k either just above or below, nothing too hard to pay off in 3-5 years, i'm planning on living cheap and paying that off as i won't have any more credit card debt (woo hoo! ) as of June... not hard at all.
4/25/2006 8:09:06 PM
$0 - parentslots after grad school
4/26/2006 9:38:26 PM
$0and my parents paid for undergradI am paying my own for grad school, and it'll be $0 when I graduate.
4/28/2006 10:12:38 AM
while it would be nice (in theory) to have parents with the $$ to pay for my undergrad, i'm glad they did what they could, and i like knowing that I earned (and am paying for) this degree on my own.i'll be even happier when I pay it all off though, no doubt!
4/28/2006 10:53:14 AM
27k - Because I went to summer school every year (just so i would not have to had moved back to my slack town for the summer and wanted to stay around with friends), and I got a $2500 computer load. All in all, I could have avoided about 15k of this debt. On the bright side, I had fun, still have my rocking computer, I used my refunds to pay for my car and to live off of, and I only pay $188/month on this loan (or loans rather, but CFI consolidated them for me!).
4/28/2006 3:29:58 PM
11,000 in loans for for 4 years and about 1,000 in a credit card..not too bad
4/28/2006 3:50:15 PM
8,000 so far and I aint graduated yet.
4/28/2006 4:22:56 PM
^ you're still here?! how come I haven't seen you around?!
4/28/2006 7:31:32 PM
~36,000
4/30/2006 3:51:19 PM
Just like my sister who graduated from NC State, and my other sister that graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, and my brother who flunked out of UNC Charlotte$0None of us had any debt when we graduated.Although, my parents didnt like the 5 and a half year plan I was on towards the end.
