i havnt installed anything new in the last few days i was watching a video in a chit chat thread and it just blanked off. when i try to start in safe mode it brings me back there

yeah... your hard disk needs to be fix0red. there are toold that will fix corrupt MFT's and such if possible. otherwise your compy is fucked.

i would check your boot volume to see if it has become unmountable.

If it is unmountable, then i would try to take steps that would make it mountable once again.
