Why do people use the "shouldn't be buried" excuse to make the new threads?Anyone that is anyone is following that thread closely and new threads don't need to be created for the "casual" fan to see. If they want to know the Calipari deal, then they can stay up with the thread or at least scan it. It's pretty easy to scan threads and see when big stuff like this is posted. The only new Cal thread that needs made is the official one if he takes the job.

Thanks for the thread. I don't want to take the time to wade through 31 pages of that other thread to find something that is actually interesting. So yeah, I don't agree with the mods or evidently all these other folks. Seems like articles should have enough of their own weight to be posted in their own threads, because they are actually substantive, as opposed to, oh, 31 pages of those posts that are great for one thread, but too much to wade through if you aren't paying attention every hour. I'm not knocking long threads, just saying that articles should have some breathing room outside them. I wouldn't have caught this article otherwise.

well guess what if every damn article was posted with its own thread you would be wading the through all the other theads to find it anyway.[Edited on April 11, 2006 at 6:41 PM. Reason : .]
