background:i quite often manage stage shows and their a/v needs - they show video clips, powerpoints, etc.they have 2 projectors set up to project on both sides of the hall. i want the video to be as flawless as possible - i don't want to show them any windows screens, any windows media player controls, any flickering of the projector source while it's searching for inputs, etc.we've tried setting the projectors on locked source mode to VGA but it didn't work. the projectors we probably can't get changed because of the cost.so i bought a cheap $100 switch with 2 inputs and 2 outputs recently but i wasn't satisfied because the it would still cause the flicker in the projection as it was searching for an input, even though i had 2 laptops hooked up to it.the way it works without the cheap switch is we have a vga splitter on the main pc - one goes to the lcd monitor and one goes to another splitter box/amplifier. this amplifier splits the signal to the two projectors.
