So I found this site and am considering going in for help on my term paper but I don't know who can help someone in my particular situation; I'm a history major and despise getting into poetry on an academic level (while I'm taking ENG 390). Could anyone recommend a quality tutor that I'd find at Rick's Hall? I'm looking for someone who could just direct me in my research and help me refine my thoughts. The prof is such a... rude individual, I wouldn't consider asking him for advice unless I feel like explaining my quiz grades and absences. they are good people. You can feel confident with any of them. Just get over here.

Is that with Young? I found 390 with him to be interesting material, and he certainly knows his stuff, but he’s a stiff grader who can come across as pretentious. It would have been one of my favorite classes had I done it for credit only and not had to stress about the grade at all. Maybe you could e-mail him a rough draft to look over? No personal contact avoids having to deal with someone you consider rude or having to explain yourself… but the only real way to do really good on one of his papers is to write it the way he would write it… and the only way to do that is have him look over it and make suggestions. Although if you can find a tutor that has had him or worked with him or knows his style, then maybe they can advise you well.(This is mostly personal feelings; I don't mean this at all as discouragement from seeking advice from the tutors.)
