did this really need a fucking thread?
4/10/2006 12:22:06 PM
[NO]This could have been put in the 9/11: A ZIONIST-ORCHESTRATED GOVERNMENT INSIDE JOB thread...http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=398061People really need to learn when (making) a thread is appropriate or not in The Soap Box.[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 12:42 PM. Reason : what a racist image...whoever drew these needs to be arrested]
4/10/2006 12:36:54 PM
no, not arrested, but ridiculed into oblivion.
4/10/2006 12:46:18 PM
I mean, I did laugh. Ha...the US guy shittttting (spewing) money out the ass. I was being sarcastic about that the artists of the images needed to be in handcuffs...most political cartoons do the same by over exaggerating or caricaturizing a situation or event.[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 1:12 PM. Reason : indeed]

4/10/2006 1:52:44 PM

When do you think that political cartoonists overstep their bounds and can be sued by others?I am referring to the Muhammad cartoons...many countries are dealing with this now...not only the cartoonists, but also the newspapers, magazines, etc. that publish them.
4/10/2006 3:39:52 PM
i would think that if it was obviously slanderous/libelous/obscene, then maybe
4/10/2006 3:42:17 PM
^ I agree with that...it is always a tough call though. Prior to determining (for myself) where the line is crossed, I need to do more reading on "freedom of speech" and what dictates as being "slanderous" to the extent where it needs to be censored.[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 3:58 PM. Reason : a]

Just found a site with some rather offensive and funny political cartoons called The Pen is Funnier than the Sword:http://www.bendib.com/I was reading through them and many of them seem to cross the line (from my point)...I am just curious to know how many of the political cartoons shown on that site were actually published in media publications (newspapers, etc.). Many of the political cartoons on that site seem far more offensive than the Mohammed cartoons...just interesting to contrast the various political cartoons.

THE PENIS MIGHTIER FUNNIERWILL IT REALLY MAKE MY PENIS FUNNY?
4/10/2006 4:56:49 PM

4/10/2006 6:30:40 PM
Ha...how true is this one...
4/10/2006 7:53:42 PM
^ Well, I wouldn't much mind that one. Sure, be tasteful, but I have no objection to making money from our national parks when the only creatures being inconvenienced would be humans.
4/10/2006 9:13:27 PM
"Tasteful, not disgraceful."
