for christmas my dad put all of our home videos on dvd for my mom. he just went out and bought a dvd recorder and ran the vhs player into it. it was the easiest way to go.

^ yea that probably would be alot easier. Altho with the tv tuner you can use it for other stuff.

yea i have a dvd burner on my comp. plus the tuner would be good for bootlegging my favorite series, like The Wire.

also if you feel like geeking out you can setup windows media encoder to stream the video and audio from the tv tuner out to the internet and then control it via a webserver or other means.So you can watch your tv from wherever you have an internet connection and wmplayer

dude, every show on tv gets put up on the internet about 20 minutes after it's broadcast, in HD quality with the commercials ripped out.Welcome to the internet.
