you can't handle that jeep. You'd end up flipping it.
4/10/2006 1:03:13 AM
nah ill just ride over all 3 of ur bikes at once. and have one wheel left for ur face[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 1:05 AM. Reason : .]
4/10/2006 1:05:36 AM
That jeep will flip backwards before it could make it up my driveway! lol
4/10/2006 1:17:22 AM
4/10/2006 1:19:18 AM
but for real, is this jeep any good, what is it worth, im really considering getting it.[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 1:21 AM. Reason : i dunno if this helps, but it has a flamethrower kit for the side pipes.. lol.]
4/10/2006 1:20:06 AM
4/10/2006 1:57:54 AM
tree fidy
4/10/2006 2:46:25 AM
with only a 2" shackle and 31's you should be good. depending on what you have been driving...definately most likely will have to adjust driving habits. seems good in all (wish the pictures were bigger) but if the price is good, and you are sold on it, go for it. buy it, drive it, if you don't like it, try to sell it to some sucker who is more stupid then you I'd want to see it in peron before I said anything about it...but all in all, your money, your car, your call
4/10/2006 2:47:36 AM
yeah... i mean i've seen cj5s flip about everyway they can but forward (stock)
4/10/2006 2:59:01 AM
bigger photos:[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 3:12 AM. Reason : more to come. im not going to decide till i see it.]
4/10/2006 3:10:47 AM
get it, so i can take it for a spin. (and a roll)
4/10/2006 3:17:39 AM
[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 3:22 AM. Reason : as u can see it's a wiring mess, he said that i might want to redo that but all the lights work etc.]
4/10/2006 3:21:19 AM
yeah it looks like a fuckin idiot wired it. Could be a problem if regular wires are run like those plug wires on the valve covers...
4/10/2006 3:24:39 AM
eh as long as the wires work like he says, it shouldnt be a prob to reorganize/replace the wires with heavier insulated ones. we'll see i go on thur or so to see it. im just wondering the value on the vehicle.
4/10/2006 3:42:58 AM
wow, someone fucked that jeep up pretty damn badi cant decide which is worse, the thorns or the abuse of light placement
4/10/2006 6:44:10 AM
id hazard a guess that its not worth what they want for it, because of the word new and custom everywhere.
4/10/2006 7:01:56 AM
well, you'll never not be able to see where ur goin at night
4/10/2006 8:08:02 AM
4k
4/10/2006 8:11:02 AM
wait a minute.....so last week you were trying to sell your motorcycle for 4000 to pay off some loans or needed money or something and now you're wanting to buy a trail rig?i really wish i knew where you got your money from cause I'd like to see if i can get a job there.
4/10/2006 8:42:07 AM
lolz it be dem drugs dawg
4/10/2006 10:03:12 AM
despite the lighting and the wiring, 4k is a fair price for it? like that's about what they go for? despite the shit wrong with it?
4/10/2006 10:08:58 AM
I got one I'll sell you, on 35's for $4300
4/10/2006 10:09:35 AM
nah im good, i kinda like this one, and the 82 head lights it comes with. not sure but did u use diamond plate to cover up the rust on that cj? ppl with fj's usually did that. does urs have a v8 too, seems likes lots of guys throw those in there. did they come stock with a straight 6?
4/10/2006 10:21:41 AM
the wiring on that thing looks like a nightmare. plus the dash looks ghetto as fuck. not to mention worst placement of lights ever(read: overkill). i personally would stay away from it. plus the guy is doing a burnout in one of the pictures, thats not a very good selling point on how the car was treated.
4/10/2006 10:33:43 AM
^lol true if he has receipts for the rebuild, that is good ill ask about that
4/10/2006 10:36:35 AM
4/10/2006 10:37:42 AM
its redneck rice
4/10/2006 10:38:41 AM
lolz how much do u think its' worth then.
4/10/2006 10:39:35 AM
Most I would consider personally would be 1500 dolla. You're basically buying somebody else's problems/scab-job/unfinished nightmare. You'll double that much right back into it in the next six months. But I'll bet twenty bucks you'll buy it anyway regardless of what everybody here tells you to do.You always do.[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 10:43 AM. Reason : always.]
4/10/2006 10:42:10 AM
^true, sounds like the 240 i picked up, probs dont want to repeat that
4/10/2006 10:43:32 AM
its not cool, its an old shitty jeep someone put a shackle lift and thornbirds on.
4/10/2006 10:48:34 AM
cool is in the eye of the beholder, thanks for the replies though makin me reconsider it.
4/10/2006 11:03:29 AM
buy it but it...flip it flip it...i am the devil on your sholder hahah
4/10/2006 11:05:27 AM
tree fiddyis that a wood dashboard? ha, I think that by itself should tell you something about the cobbled together nature of this "heep"[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 11:55 AM. Reason : heep]
4/10/2006 11:54:18 AM
It's gonna be a lot of problems, but something like that, you gotta expect to work on it a lot, and enjoy workin on it, but a cj-5 with a 304 is an awesome rig, just be carful with it (dad got our '79 in '80 after a kid had totalled it and killed himself)I'd buy it, just work him down a little on the price
4/10/2006 1:13:26 PM
4/10/2006 1:24:59 PM
^^Who/where did he get it from?
4/10/2006 1:36:44 PM
junkyard in Harnett County
4/10/2006 1:49:45 PM
if you guys havent figured it out, it would be a trade for the r6
4/10/2006 1:53:17 PM
dude the Super Swamper thornbird tires are pretty useless IMO....my suggestion, try to sell them, and get a set of something that will last longer on the street + actually do well offroad (BFG MT's or even Goodyear MTRs)
4/10/2006 2:42:28 PM
it's really a toss up of gettin this or keepin the r6, i told him everything that was done with the r6, wrecked etc. i doubt i would do much offroading. but i woudl take it now and again. i'd have to find places.
4/10/2006 2:45:54 PM
i drove a recent model jeep offroad this past weekend - i was highly impressed with its capabilities and it was relatively stock
4/10/2006 2:47:48 PM
what was it, a rubicon or a sahara/sport/X?
4/10/2006 3:08:47 PM
keep the r6
