4/7/2006 1:15:37 AM

4/7/2006 1:25:15 AM

Here's some info for you: The Wagner gun absolutely SUCKS at this.I used to use one frequently, and I gotta say, they're the biggest pieces of shit for this kind of application. I think you CAN get different tip sizes, but atomization is done by piston pump action at 60 Hz (AC line current). If you move the gun back and forth fast enough, you can actually see the waves it produces in the finish. And believe me, it doesn't have to be that fast.I honestly don't know how you'd get a halfway decent finish outta one of these things. Atomization just ain't that great.

were you using one of the hand deal or the big gun (commercial) deal? im drunk as fuck never mind the spelling.
4/7/2006 3:22:23 AM
^^ huh? i had a pretty bottom line sprayer when i painted houses and there were no linesare you talking about that little crappy wagner do it yourself gun or a commercial sprayer?
4/7/2006 3:24:31 AM
it seems to spray rly nice inside on walls of a house i did 3 houses so far and they are rl nice!
4/7/2006 3:25:54 AM
this is the best wagner they have our it has its own tank and pump all seprete
4/7/2006 3:27:14 AM
why do you need a tank? why not just go straight out of a 5 gallon bucket?its really easy to strain a 5 gallon bucket if it starts to get old
4/7/2006 3:28:43 AM
no it is like its own tank and pump PM sent
4/7/2006 3:32:15 AM
theres so much money in interior house painting, that shit is easyi wish my insurance covered it so i didnt have to just do outside stuffbut the real goldmine was pressure washing, especially after you purchase a 30 ft extension pole and barely even need a ladder
4/7/2006 3:45:47 AM
can i get a job there????????????
4/7/2006 4:24:52 AM
Ahhh...yer talkin' about a piston pump type sprayer. If you can get a tip small enough, then I suppose you could paint a car with it, though I don't know why you'd want to unless you used plain old industrial enamel. Car paint ain't cheap enough to waste all that paint in a 25 foot hose. There are no lines with this type. I thought you meant a handheld gun (hunk of shit).

Go to Harbor Freight and get a $25 dollar HVLP.
4/7/2006 11:28:38 AM
^Bingo. Excellent idea. They work just fine for occasional jobs. I've owned four cheap guns (two big, two jamb) and they've all done really well. For production work...then I'd want a $400 gun.
4/7/2006 11:39:04 AM
i got a 30 dollar CH gun at wal mart and it was a total peice of shit, after i was done i threw it away instead of cleaning it
4/7/2006 9:37:26 PM
Maybe I should clarify...relatively cheap guns. I've had two big guns that cost around 60 dolla each.
4/8/2006 3:52:31 AM
shit, if I can paint a cj7 with a paintbrush, I'm sure that sprayer thing will work
4/9/2006 1:58:43 PM
the harbor freight gun with the hopper on top works well and is adjustable.
