just look at this....a lot of you fuckers didnt even pull for state until you got to school.....it was hard to grow up a state fan and remember what was and swallow what out program turned into....it was easy to be a unc or duke fan through childhood....as statefans we were always the stepchildren of the ACC.....why cant a little 2 year old with a dream not finally get what he always wanted 23 years later.....a little bit of hope....

dream in one hand and crap in the other and see what piles up first.my family is all Red Sox and URI fans. you dont think I've suffered my whole life? at least State has been to the Final Four. Imagine being up by 10, a minute away from the Final Four, only to see your team give up 11 unanswered to Stanford.

what does baseball have to do with it? i was just saying that the idea of being tormented by your next door neighbor who pulls for the enemy trancends geography.

i think i used to have a shirt like that one that you're wearing. my parents bought some merchandise from all of the Big Four schools back in the day. we had 4 mini-balls of all the schools back in the 80's, which my brother and I would shoot on our mini-goals in our bedroom. i still have an old Charlotte Hornets one hanging on my closet back home. i know i have an old Gator Bowl sweater, when it was sponsored by Outback Steakhouse, here with me that has a bunch of Tuffy Wolf Head logos and Diamond logos on it. i remember having State, Carolina (my damn brother), and UNCC metal trash bins. We also had a really old UNCC pennant hanging in me and my brother's bedroom with the old 49-er logo with the guy with a pitchfork. my mom, and her brothers were all big basketball fans, especially of Davidson basketball. she has had a little bit of a dislike for the Tar Heels after they knocked Davidson out of the tournament one year a long time ago. i have some great memories of watching those early 90's NCAA tournaments with my family. i curse Chris Webber to this day for calling that damn timeout. ah the glory days. hopefully this hire we'll bring us from being a very good program to a great program in a few years. i would personally like to see our next coach become an establishment here, that way we won't have to worry about this for a long time.

^exactly....see there are a few of us out there....

see NC is a college basketball mecca. we're raised on college bball, sweet tea, and barbeque (notice that i left out NASCAR; while i know more about NASCAR than say someone from Wisconsin, i'm am definitely not a fan; i just hear so much about it that it soaks into my head; i'm from Charlotte by the way, NASCAR holy land). where else do you have middle schoolers, come March, pick two college teams out of a hat and have chances to win prizes depending on how far your teams progress in the tournament. yes this happened at my middle school as a reward to those students in each grade that made the A Honor Roll. i remember getting a 15 seed and thinking to myself, "Motherfucker!" Pitino can say all he wants about Kentucky, but the best college basketball state in North Carolina.

i wasnt born until 86, and was born and bread a state fan. I dont remember the last years of Valvano, only when he died. The only NC State success I have seen in on ESPN Classic. I went through years of torture from my UNC fans at school. But all along I stayed true to my school. I always wanted to come to school here, and I did. I definately bleed red. I was hoping the Rick Barnes would come and we would start getting top 5 recruiting classes and being in the top 10. Im pretty bumed right now.
