i mean im 28 now and not going out every night like i once did, but still doin it up on weekends and such.

i have friends in my age groups who have already resigned themselves to going to be 'at a decent hour' every night of the week.

then i have other friends 10 or so years older than me who are still doin it up like they are 22.

when will you grow up?

Probably after law school.. I'm pretty sure those 65-70 hour weeks my first year in a firm are going to shut me down on the weekends.. but maybe not.

I'm 24, and I'm already headed way too far down that path.

how is it that we equate adulthood with lack of partying time?

Just because you don't party every weekend anymore doesn't mean you've matured.

after I build a damn car. I'll lower my standards a lot, get it out of my system, start making a steady wage, get past debt, buy a minivan, have kids somewhere in there, and before you know it, I'll be shuffling investments and watching the news like its entertainment.

I think I'm 24 going on 13... I figure once I graduate, in 2047, I'll be in decent shape to give in to growing up & being old. Till then, it's 4AM video game binges & hugging the toilet thrice a week!
But seriously I don't know. Life's tough enough without worrying about crap like war, the economy, taxes, and social security biting the dust.

I was grown up for the most part until I was 24 and a half.
Then I partied like a rockstar for about six months.
Then I got engaged, got married, and I'm content, in that warm happy fuzzy way.

I'd say about 22-23. It was a combination of factors, actually.

Christ, I'm already at the point where I'm writing my memoirs. Been an interesting life

I don't party very much any more, I only get 4 days off a month.

But I'm still at the maturity level of a 14 year old and holding steady.

2nd semester, first year in grad school.

teaching a class, reading several hundred pages/week, grading papers on the weekend.

oh yeah, and a steady girlfriend . . . that helps.

eh, growing up is a state of mind...
you can be successful, productuve whatever and still do things at night/weekends...

I plan on growing up sometime during flight school... probably next week!

fully grow up? never really.. if I ever get out of the mindset that I am young enough to have fun when I want to.. then I am probably not going to enjoy the rest of my life

i seriously cannot see myself being a responsible adult...

maybe after a kid i guess.

My gf works a 8-5 and is in bed by 11 every night, where I head to bed around 4am or so, drives me crazy.

I have no idea. I still love going out till 4am (on weekends) and doing stupid crazy stuff. I don't know when this will end, maybe it will take a girlfriend I really care about to tame me, and who knows when I find that
