Arabic is also my easiest class, but I love it! Ustaaza Khater is a great teacher, and worth every minute of the busy work she assigns. I'm learning more from her "easy" class, than from the majority of my more difficult ones. I'll continue taking Arabic until I graduate, even if it isn't a tough course.

I thought Arabic was a hard language to learn.

^I am really enjoying the class. I am not a native speaker, but I find the class to be very easy, if you do the assigned work. There is a lot of book work and vocab and things to learn, but if you just keep up, you'll do great in the class. If you have any background in Arabic, I am sure you'll do even better in class. We learn the formal "news" type of Arabic, and if we do colloquial, it is Egyptian. Professor Khater is one of the best teachers I've had at State and she makes the language very simple to learn. One of the good things about the course, is that once you buy the books for the first semester, it's all you'll need to finish out the four semesters if you choose. If you have the time, take the class, it's worth it.

thanks for the response. I'll be checking out the class time w/my schedule for next semester.
