if he stays healthy and doesnt pull a Barry Sanders, he will obliterate almost every offensive record
4/5/2006 8:26:53 PM
boom goes the dynamite
4/5/2006 8:27:42 PM
He doesn't need steriods!!!That pitch was high and he still nailed it.I Heart Pujols!
4/5/2006 8:28:23 PM
I mean, its just amazing to watch him. He is Ted Williams, a complete hitter
4/5/2006 8:29:32 PM
w00t
4/5/2006 8:29:39 PM
hes not that good, lol
4/5/2006 8:31:42 PM
4/5/2006 8:33:42 PM
he is by far the greatest offensive player of our generationby far
4/5/2006 8:34:31 PM
through 5 years, he has 203 HRs and 625 RBIs and he is only 26, fucking 26!
4/5/2006 8:34:54 PM
i agree, this guy is a god playing among men
4/5/2006 8:35:33 PM
He's not the BEST first baseman yet, but you must admit, he's pretty damn close to locking that up as well.
4/5/2006 8:36:43 PM
that ball he hit off Lidge in the NLCS of last year is still making it's way through the galaxy.
4/5/2006 8:38:04 PM
4/5/2006 8:39:35 PM
that was by far the best hit I've ever seen. Considering the situation and how hard he hit that ball, you'd be hard pressed to find one that is better unless it won a world series. I know we didnt end up winning the nlcs, but that hit was heroic.
4/5/2006 8:39:46 PM
If he does stay healthy, he will end up with possibly 800 homeruns, 2000 RBIs and a career average over .300 with probably near 3000 hits. Damn I hope he stays healthy. Cards will be good for next 10 years with him alone.
4/5/2006 8:41:39 PM
is he on the juice?
4/5/2006 8:47:17 PM
^are you serious? If he is, I'll stop watching baseball forever. He's probabaly one of the best human beings on the planet, so if he's using, everyone is.
4/5/2006 8:48:24 PM
^^ thinking the sameit's sad that now when any MLB player goes off it's the 1st question that hits me[Edited on April 5, 2006 at 8:48 PM. Reason : .]
4/5/2006 8:48:31 PM
someone fire beardawg
4/5/2006 8:50:22 PM
Pujols is squeeky clean though, plus, he was almost as big at 21 as he is right now. He's always been fairly slow, and NEVER skinny. I've had the same thought myself, but I cant bring myself to believe it. I think he's clean, and as a cardinals fan, I think McGuire is a tool....so take it for what its worth.
4/5/2006 8:50:39 PM
he blasted through the minors toowhen there was a testing policydude is clean as can be
4/5/2006 8:51:40 PM
i hope so, cause i like the guy, except this week, cause he's kicking my ass in fantasy baseballbut he is bonds-huge
4/5/2006 8:53:13 PM
haha....wasnt he drafted in like the 6th or 7th round too? you KNOW some teams are kicking themselves right now. Hell, the cardinals probably drafted someone ahead of him that isnt in the league anymore. That whole situation is funny to think about.
4/5/2006 8:53:25 PM
McGwire..and yeah, he is a really cool guy, does a shit load for charities
4/5/2006 8:53:32 PM
no math in this thread spero
4/5/2006 8:53:42 PM
fine, fine
4/5/2006 8:54:08 PM
pujols + 4 years = Yankees
4/5/2006 8:54:46 PM
please god nodon't sell your soul like so many others havea question for hunter (or anybody): how many of the current yankees guys actually came up in the yankees farm system? not sarcastic, just wonderingnot meaning to hijack a thread either[Edited on April 5, 2006 at 8:56 PM. Reason : ]
4/5/2006 8:56:15 PM
^^I'll shoot myself.I dont think the Cards would let him get away either. He's an icon in St. Louis...probably getting up there with Ozzie Smith. That might take a few more years though. [Edited on April 5, 2006 at 8:57 PM. Reason : ]
4/5/2006 8:56:24 PM
4/5/2006 8:57:43 PM
Derek Jeter was drafted by themRobinson Cano was drafted or brought up through the farm system im not sure...but Canos dad was a yankeeDADDY YANKEE!!
4/5/2006 8:59:56 PM

4/5/2006 9:06:48 PM

4/5/2006 9:14:40 PM

4/5/2006 9:23:40 PM

4/5/2006 9:30:28 PM

4/5/2006 9:42:20 PM
Bernie Williams, Mo Rivera, Jorge, Jeter, and Cano all came up through the farm system for the Yankees.
4/5/2006 10:30:54 PM
Yeah I knew Mariano Rivera. He pitched for the Greensboro Hornets, which was a Yankee A team.
4/5/2006 10:33:47 PM
whats his slugging? it was 4000 after game 1seriously thoughhe is amazingof course, a lot of people like to whisper that he is older than he thinks or admitsso who knowsbut yeshe'll play his whole career as a cardinalthey have enough money to lace himFO' LIFE
4/5/2006 10:35:46 PM
I just really like the guy, seems down to earth, modest, all the charity stuff... I almost want to get a jersey just to support him but I am pretty much totally neutral towards the Cards
4/5/2006 11:16:13 PM
and he's a good step-dad, which is fucking impressive - especially in professional athletics where guys aren't even faulted for being shitty real dads
4/5/2006 11:19:59 PM
4/5/2006 11:20:41 PM
he better get a hit tomorrowi got a one game streak to protect!!
4/5/2006 11:21:01 PM
4/5/2006 11:22:16 PM

good job ruining the thread
4/5/2006 11:27:15 PM
4/5/2006 11:30:31 PM
Pujols asks bonds when is the last time he stole a base, ran on a hit and run, made a good base running decision, and hit for average, not the fences? And, when's the last time Pujols had a pinch runner? I dont remember it. I'm pretty sure bonds gets one almost every game.
4/5/2006 11:35:48 PM
pujols is my favorite player and on both of my fantasy teams...so keep killing the ball.
