"cheap" and one bedroom don't really go together. I guess it depends on what your definition of "cheap" is. You might be able to get "cheap" rent, but think about not having anyone to split the bills with. i would say suck it up and get a roommate or pay out of your ass.

Well, there are those Pullen Park efficiency condos. Like $400/mo, utilities included (plus Internet and telecom, I assume).

I would suggest firearms for defense, though.
