wow, operating on a $5 goldfish. The cost of surgery probably costs in the thousands of dollars.
4/4/2006 8:35:06 PM
Koi can cost tens of thousands of dollars.
4/4/2006 8:41:58 PM
that's not a koi though. Not the expensive one at least.

^^You think someone's going to rack up thousands of dollars in vet bills when they can simply feed the fish some peas?Sure, they have swim bladder problems with floating food, but its not the only cause.
4/5/2006 12:27:26 AM
^people who are stupid enough to pay thousands of dollar for some fish's vet bill are stupid enough to not feed the fish peas.
4/5/2006 12:29:28 AM
good point...

How much of our tax money are we spending to find out how to operate on fish? I think this is an absolute waste of money [Edited on April 5, 2006 at 7:41 AM. Reason : as]

^most likely none.floating food can cause swim bladder problems b/c the fish takes in air. it's a better idea to use sinking food or pellets that quickly absorb water and become soft as soon as you dump them in.[Edited on April 5, 2006 at 8:21 AM. Reason : food]

"How much of our tax money are we spending to find out how to operate on fish? I think this is an absolute waste of "money has instrumental, not intrinsic value. also its not like the money is being destroyed, just changing hands.

That guy kissing the koi makes me laugh. What a freak.Too bad the fish he paid thousands (to Dr. Lewbart AND a chiropracter) to have its back stabilized died.... It died from a parasitic infection. Now he is on the third fish with a broken back.

We studied that in class, the whole time I was like...flush.
