Hey everyone, I'm about to take FLS 202 in the fall. Doesn't seem that hard of a class but I'm wondering which you prefer. K Villa Garcia or Cox. I heard alot about K Villa Garcia and also cox. Both have strong g. distributions but one is twice a week and another is three times a week. Thanks

Defn. K. Villa Garcia. Very Very Easy. And she always comes to class late. But if you really want to learn..don't take her.

i know with summer sessions one thing that was helpful was meeting everyday, you got to practice the language more regularly.

just whatever you do, not not take kestenbaum. i mean, her class isn't hard, but i am learning no spanish. i feel like i'm in a history class, and history sucks. the tests focus primarily on the development of the Spanish countires all over the world. thanks to her, i probably won't be well prepared for the next level.

I've had K. Villa-Garcia and Cox for Spanish. Cox is only a little bit more challenging, but he is a much more interesting and exciting teacher.

FLS 202 is pretty much a boring class in general. You might want to consider avoiding it if you already have solid skills with using imperfect/preterite and indicative/subjunctive tenses. It is basically a review of 101, 102, and 201 and the only new material introduced is that of latin american countries.I really enjoyed the class because I struglled some with grammar and 202 gave me a good chance to identify and fix my problems. Both of the Garcias are excellent teachers and I would take either of them given the opportunity.Watch out for Kay though, the class is not as easy as you would think, her vocab tests can be fairly difficult. You must practice it everyday.

why not take TH with L Villa Garcia? it's offered at the same times. That's what I'm taking in the fall.
