the ti4800 was the first card to have 8x AGP and it was a 4200 that they just added the capability to.

the ti4400's were notorious for blowing up... (mine was one of thousands RMA'd )

I.e. show the 8x specs... but its not like your asking a lotta money for it anyways...

well...according to nvidia, it can be 8x agp...but i suppose they could be wrong

http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce4ti.html

as for the card blowing up...well, go ahead and provide some sources, or shut up if you don't know what you're talking about

specs (from link above):

Vertices per Second: 125 Million
Fill Rate: 4.4 Billion AA Samples/Sec.
Operations per Second: 1.12 Trillion
Memory Bandwidth: 8.8GB/Sec.
Maximum Memory: 128MB

" Note: GeForce4 Ti 4800, GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE and GeForce4 Ti 4200 w/ AGP 8x are all AGP 8X products."

from that link I'm sorry try again

as far as teh defects... it might have just been an eVGA thing, when mine blew up there were a whole bunch of people online that had had problems, but I'm only finding spotty documentation on that... mine blew up within 10months of being new though...

BUT I stand by the fact that its a good price for the card

listen, goFigure...i'll tell you what, i'll put $50 right now that says when i put this card in an 8x agp slot, it runs at 8x...if anyone else wants to get in on this, by all means...

that said, the ati performs slightly better than the nvidia and both are easily overclocked
