technically yes, but usually i think of a quad as a lightweight powerful racing atv like a blaster

well i used to have 1996 that was bored .30 over and pro cool head on it fmf ram valve and fmf fatboy pipe and power core silencer it was fast and then i bought a 89 honda 250r that brings whole new meaning to fast it will set beside a banshee no prob them lil blasters will take a hell of a beatin tho and keep on runnin

I used to use the term "Quad Wad" to describe people who were four times the dick that anybody should have ever been.That said, all three terms are pretty much synonymous...except ATV can be used to describe 3- or 4-wheelers, and even the 6-wheeled Argo. If you really want to get technical about it, the term could also be used to describe the old Fat Cat and BW250 two wheelers.

did anyone ever see them fat cat kits that turned the old 250r three wheeler in to a bike. they were just a rear swing arm and a tire and fender?
