Poor Herb. He got to coach in the ACC for 10 years and made about $900k per year. Now he's going to have to move to Arizona where he'll make $1.3 mill per. I feel so sorry for him. I wish he was still here so we could someday go back to the Sweet 16.

Actually, it was pretty much the rank and file who convinced him to leave. Burleson speaking out(thanks, big fella!) and the last few media articles calling for him to leave probably went a long way. Packpride says we even counter offered, big donors made their calls to beg him to stay.

We will not suffer as bad as Herb Supporters think/wish/desire/want/hope we will. Gaurantee the team will come together and rally in a couple years and everyone hatin on Herb leaving will jump on the bandwagon that Herb leaving is the Best thing that could have happened in the State of NC & ACC Basketball...

I am just so happy. Been praying and wishing for this day since my sophmore year at State (99-00) and I fully came to understand Herb's non-strategy and lack of game style and preperation.

there is more than one sort of "herb supporter" and i think i fell in the realistic end. i didn't think herb did the most wonderful job. but it didn't seem that him leaving would leave us with better options.

now that he is gone though, i hope that we do well. just as i will (hopefully) always hope that our bball team does well.

now many of the herb haters on the other, wished that ncsu would fail just so that herb would get fired. which is worse?

Honestly, I feel what you are saying...But with me I am far to competitive. It is a weakness of mine, if someone, individually or team wise is not getting the job done with ample chances and opportunity- they must go at all cost. And those that support that team/individual that is not producing more/better reuslts are the worst kind of fans.

That is my opinion and thoughts. I know others might/will argue and say that is ridiculous or stupid, and hey that is their opinion, and it will not sway my thoughts, reasoning, or opinion. So ultimately I say any Herb supporter is worse than a Herb Hater...
