http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2391458and i think he won by a lot more votes than he should have
3/31/2006 11:22:27 AM
I hate to say it but I agree with ESPN.
3/31/2006 11:24:37 AM
boy he sure did play like it in the NCAA tournament!
3/31/2006 11:25:01 AM
its the AP's award, not ESPN's. but you are the mod so ok
3/31/2006 11:25:22 AM
haha I was about to say, ESPN expresses an opinion in that article?
3/31/2006 11:26:20 AM
3/31/2006 11:27:27 AM
hahahahathis thread has started masterfully
3/31/2006 11:27:44 AM
voting is done before the tournament so both their perfomances in the tournament dont matter at all[Edited on March 31, 2006 at 11:29 AM. Reason : thats better]
3/31/2006 11:28:48 AM
i think the tournament proved how Sheldon Williams MADE that team day in and day out...not that Redick isnt a great playerbut Morrison didnt have another superstar to help him out...course he also played in a weaker conference...but they're both crybabies hahah
3/31/2006 11:29:16 AM
like hodge
3/31/2006 11:34:00 AM
lets all bash state and suck duke cock
3/31/2006 11:35:40 AM
3/31/2006 11:41:22 AM
now again i, like you all, have seen redick singlehandedly kill us in games...he was a great college player who will be hustling people in pickup games at the YMCA in a few years...but a great college player nonetheless...but he did have a beastly center helping him out and the ACC's all time leading scorer should have been able to lead his team, as a senior, past the Sweet 16
3/31/2006 11:43:36 AM
and past the sweet 16 in three of his four years in school
3/31/2006 11:46:04 AM
At least Morrison gets to share the basketball writers association player of the year award with him
3/31/2006 11:46:22 AM
^^yeah, reaaaaaaaaally far past, like the elite 8
3/31/2006 11:49:58 AM
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2391450and 'ol roy wins national coach of the year by a comfortable amount
3/31/2006 11:53:44 AM
actually, duke made it past the sweet 16 just ONE out of his 4 years.2003: lost to Kansas in the sweet 162004: final four2005: lost to MSU in the sweet 162006: lost to LSU in the sweet 16
3/31/2006 11:56:32 AM
that's what I meanthe said
3/31/2006 11:57:32 AM
ah, gotcha
3/31/2006 11:59:02 AM
i thought him and adam got co-POTY
3/31/2006 12:07:27 PM
Pearl got robbed
3/31/2006 12:10:40 PM
ha, not really
3/31/2006 12:11:57 PM
3/31/2006 12:17:23 PM
^you made my point better than I could have. Well said.Very much as a solo Jules still managed to make our team last year b/c he made the players around him better.[Edited on March 31, 2006 at 12:26 PM. Reason : Jules]
3/31/2006 12:25:22 PM
Bennerman should have won
3/31/2006 12:45:01 PM
3/31/2006 12:55:19 PM
^^^^,^^^i agree and maybe i went a little overboard saying Shelden made the teambut my main point was that Adam Morrison didnt have a Shelden Williams to help his team win 25 games]
3/31/2006 12:55:49 PM
while he wasnt a sheldon williams, batista was pretty sick this year and helped gonzaga out a lot
3/31/2006 1:07:59 PM
3/31/2006 1:08:56 PM
Pearl got robbed even more by not getting SEC coach of the yearhowever, with the way the Final Four shaped up, maybe he didnt
3/31/2006 1:24:42 PM
haha perhaps
3/31/2006 1:58:29 PM
3/31/2006 2:40:36 PM
So Daughtery won the award in 2001 and then looked what happened....How I wish that would happen again....
3/31/2006 3:28:50 PM
He's going to have hard time getting enough playing time in NBA. at least he'll get money being in NBA w/o playing.. which Duke students want
3/31/2006 3:36:22 PM
