I am looking to put new, functioning, gauges in my maxima.

I am looking for a speedometer, tachometer in a 3 3/8'' to 4'' diameter.
I am looking for a oil pressure x2, oil temp, boost, EGT, and AF in a 2'' to 2 3/4'' range.

For the speedometer, will I need to buy one of the aftermarker sender, or will I be able to tap into the sender at the trans? Same question for the tach.

Any recomendations on brands of gauges? Does a higher price always mean a better guage?
ebay does not have much, and it is all at store prices. I have found the largest selection from summit.

Any usefull info is welcome.
The customary bashing is espected.

Also, anyone know where I can find:
a gear pump (for oil, usually found at marine supply)
a 2-3 quart solid container that fully seals, and can hold oil

^^ yeah, a solid, sealing container, that can hold 2-3 quarts of oil.

^naw, nothing that advanced. Remote oil feed for the turbos.

I don't have a real need for dry sump, and since I pretty much plan on blowing this thing up, no need to add extra work just yet.
If and when I rebuild this motor with built internals, I may upgrade to that route.

why bother monitoring engine vitals if you are just planning on blowing it up and why do you need two oil pressure gauges? Look up accusump on Google and see if that's what you had in mind. Are you not feeding the turbos with the engine oil pressure?

Dry sumping even after the rebuild wouldn't do much unless you planned on dropping the engine lower in the chassis. In regards to gauges, I've heard good things about Stewart Warner gauges, I'm not sure if they have the speedometer though. I also hope/assume that you are talking about a real A/F ratio gauge (as in wideband) and not the blinky light piece of shit. Here are links to various widebands. I don't know whether you like the digitial display boxes or want another gauge.

HPF also has a large gauge selection:

I've bought from HPF and it has always been a good experience. I also used to live a few miles away from Summit Racing in Ohio and have always had an excellent experience with them. You won't go wrong with either of them.

summit and jegs would be where i'd start on a budget, they both sell autometer and vdo gauges, senders, and signal converters

Poe87- I want to go ahead and get everything now. I already have sourced a "new" engine for reasonably cheap, and I have a place to store this car once it dies till I can afford the rebuild.

I am currently thinking about running a separate oil system for the turbos, as opposed to running lines from the front. I would have a resevoir near the turbos, and a pump and cooler. The first oil pressure guage would be for the engine, and the second would be for the turbo lines. This way, the pump on the turbo resevoir could b run off a relay, and continue pumping after the engine is turned off. The relay would act as a turbo timer of sorts.

ECTurboGSX- Yes, I am talking about a real AF gauge for wideband. Thanks for the links.

The oil won't really be able to be circulated through the turbo when it isn't spinning. Just something to consider. Also consider that the turbo oil, if separate, would take a long time to get to operating temperature and may sludge up easily. So are the turbos going under the rear bumper? I know you said remote mount, but I wasn't sure how remote you were going.

I don't know yet. They may be where the passengers feet would go, they may go behind the front passenger seat, they may go where the spare tub is.
Good call about operating temperature. I hadn't thought about that yet.

I still need to figure out exactly where they are going to be mounted. This takes some planning, that I haven't had time to do yet.

Scraping the remote independant resevoir.

Thanks.
