Detreville is an awesome instructor. All my tests were essay, but I had her for a 400 levelPruden is pretty good too. Tests were short answer + mult. choice from what I can remember about 252Nauta ... well she just sucks

HI207 with sack, Parker, or DetrevilleI've had all of them. They are all professors I'd take again. Sack has some quirks, but hes a good guy, and very keen on being up to date on source material. Parker is probably the biggest name historian at NCSU, and if you have his class you'll see why. Detreville is also well informed and nice.Riddle also does some ancient classes... don't know if he'd ever cover hi 207, but he is really good in his specific fields of ancient & medieval medicine. All this ancient talks reminds me, I should plug this grouphttp://ncst.facebook.com/group_profile.php?gid=5404

i'm taking hi 207 with my roomate this summer(session 1) w/ detrivillei used tww's schooltool to find out information on each instructorafter weighing out avg. gpa, and other users comments on the instructors i choose detriville...parker seemed like one of those people that you either like or hate(nothing22 said that parker was pretty bad), so i didnt want to take my chances with her(she teachers in second session), while sack and detriville are first sessionthe reason i didnt choose sack is because a couple users said the grading was pretty strict as far as what to put in the essayshope that helps

In defense of Dr. Sack, I never got higher than a B on anything I turned in for the class and I got an A. I only missed the class once and partipated pretty much everyday.

Should take HI 215 with Butler. History of latin america until 1812 (maybe?), Butler is a little old man, but he you wouldn't know it by listening to him talk. Old military guy who has lots of experience with latin american culture. Just listen in class and take notes and the tests are real easy. 2 tests (a couple short answer and 1 essay) , 1 paper, and the final (a couple short answer and 2 essays). There are 3 books, but I never read any and came out of the class with an A[Edited on March 29, 2006 at 8:57 AM. Reason : ]
