You could also try the Ronald McDonald House. That's where I did my volunteer work in HS. I don't think that they have set hours when they allow you to volunteer. I think as long as it is a reasonable time of the day, you can come and do shit like cleaning the kitchen, washing bedding, sterilizing toys, etc. Give them a call and see what they can do for you.

That is correct. Anybody who is volunteering or working for the city of raleigh must complete a background check.

food bank and a lot of others that are fairly popular things to do often have long sign up lists. Seeing as how you already fucked yourself to getting into this position, it seems the proper thing to do is google it and call the places that come up until you find one that could use you.

It won't take long. There are lots of places that can benefit by you actually doing something instead of passing it off with the least amount of effort.

Yes, get someone from Student Government to do it for you. Any official is authorized to use our letterhead and should be willing to print you off something if they have keys to the office that day. I think Adam Compton will be there, among others who do. You can look him up on the SG Directory. students.ncsu.edu.

go to the park office at lake wheeler.. i forget the guys name but he handed me an ax and a baseball bat and told me to go take down a shed..it took me about 45 minutes... he then signed me off for 3 days @ 8 hrs a day
