poor guy just wanted to "days of thunder" the wreck, thinking he could just get by when spotters told him to go low.well he did. and so did carpenters car
3/27/2006 9:54:12 AM

3/27/2006 4:19:44 PM
that shit sucks R.I.P
3/27/2006 7:30:54 PM
im still angry he hit that guyno excuse
3/27/2006 7:48:58 PM
it really sucks that he hit him.they said apparently he wasnt listening. but the flags and warning light were on.but again, at around 200mph you cant really dodge a bullet and when you go low like your crew chief said thats what happened (as the car hit the wall, spotters said go low, and everyone did, but by the time Dana came through the car had already been rolling to a near stop at the bottom of the track). but he had no reason in going that fast in the first place.lack of experiencee
3/27/2006 7:56:02 PM
yeahi mean there's a reason you have a steering wheel and pedalsthey control the carrook
3/27/2006 7:57:07 PM
his adrenaline was pumping and he want bout to stop. nigger wanted to show boat
3/27/2006 7:58:00 PM
you'd thinkwhen you see a smashed car in the roadthe first thing you would doismaybeslow down
3/27/2006 8:09:22 PM
some nigs were talking about tunnel vision, and adrenaline, which i could agree on since this was his first couple times out on track. i dont blame the guy. they dont have other video to see exactly how far he moved down the track when he was told to go low.thats the issue im seeing, is did he go low and just happen to catch carpenters car as it was sliding down the track? even then, its caution, and practice. but also 200 mph all pumped up
3/27/2006 8:12:43 PM
well i mean the tunnel is usually pointing in the direction your car is moving
3/27/2006 8:21:47 PM
you ever had tunnel vision. you cant exactly see clearlythe vid says turn 2, which one would be high on track, looks to me like he did move low like his spotter said. but was just going wayyyyyyy tooooo fast.but thats just me.god damned rookies[Edited on March 27, 2006 at 8:32 PM. Reason : ]

"This was his 2nd year in IRL. He's been racing cars since 1996... There will always be rookies in racing, and that means the driver is developing at that level and is on a learning curve. The only way you can learn to drive a car at 200+ mph is to drive a car at 200+ mph..."Ahmet
3/27/2006 10:00:33 PM
the fact of the matter is that the man is dead, hopefully he will R.I.P, chances are that at that level, none of us should be bashing his driving skills, the man could probably out drive anybody on this msg board, i know tww is all bout being tough and being an ass, but come on guys...
3/27/2006 10:35:42 PM
nm, fucked up link....[Edited on March 27, 2006 at 11:11 PM. Reason : fucked up link]
3/27/2006 11:08:54 PM
whoa whoa.. no one is bashing anyone.there were some obvious reasons to this crash... and some not so obvious.thats all.no one is happy he is dead. there is a reason why he was driving IRL and we arent.
3/27/2006 11:40:59 PM
dammit, that link i tried to make was from ebaums world showing the reaction time they have commin out of some turns (granted at a road course) but sitll, its sick fast. look it up under extreme...
3/27/2006 11:54:50 PM
so are u guys saying the guy that was killed made the mistake, or the guy that didnt slow down? or a little of both.i've had tunnel vision on a bike b4 adrenaline and the tunnel vision is killer who knows if he really had it or if it was just an excuse.R.I.P
3/28/2006 12:33:17 AM

3/28/2006 12:42:47 AM

3/29/2006 7:47:10 PM
pwntit said there were six cars in front of him that slowed down, and the yelow lights on the track and his dash were on, but why did his spotter tell him to go low instead of slow down, and the other cars didnt seem to be going much slower than him, shit just dont add up[Edited on March 29, 2006 at 10:19 PM. Reason : ]
3/29/2006 10:17:56 PM
his spotter told him to go low when the car hit the wall, at the top of the track. then the car made a turn for the lower part of the track, where he was cuz of his spotter.
