I personally thing it should be like that Nintendo hockey game where it goes into a mini-game where the players fight it out, and whoever pushes the buttons the fastest wins. They can put the nintendo court-side.

The sad thing is, that's how you win tip offs in NBA 2k6 on xbox 360 too. Oh how gameplay has progressed.

are we talking about blades of steel?

I've gotta assume so. There were no fights in "Ice Hockey".

I'm expecting Dick Vitale to post in this thread any time now.

this is yet another rule where college should emulate the pro game. The NBA's got it right. In a held ball situation, the best thing to do is just jump it off again.

i like the alternating posession arrow. personally, i think it is fairer than a jump ball because of height differences and jumping abilities. They talk about the APA penalizing the defense for making a good play, but the same penalizations would occur if the defender who ties it up is smaller or white.

THE APA is used b/c the refs cant throw good jump balls on a consistent basis.

i would prefer the jump ball myself...the possession arrow seems arbitrary

I'd like to see it decided the way it is on the blacktop. Whoever rips the shit out of the other's hands gets the ball. And if it comes to blows, it comes to blows.

i still own blades of steel..."makes the pass!"
