Can anyone help me with:

1.Compute the translational contribution to the standard molar entropy of D2 gas at 1100K.

or

2. For the I2 molecule where the fundamental frequency of vibration is 214.6 cm-1, compute the helmoltz energy of vibration, A (vib) at 1370K in J/mol. Hint: there is no need to consider the N! term as it is grouped with the A (trans)

1. use the formula for monatomic gas, listed on page 4 of chapter 18 notes, in place of mass for monatomic gas, take the mass of Deuterium and multiply by 2.

3. in the notes, use this formula, A-A(o)=-KT lnQ, and you know lnQ=Nlnq, subsitute back in main formula and plug and chug..
