I've been using one for a few weeks (I work fir Cingular) and it is the absolute shit. It is a bit on the big side, but it isnt much bigger than a blackberry. Here is a video of some cat playing with one:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4067711894905423897&q=8125We are having a customer appreciation day at the store this Friday the 24th from 9-4 if anyone wants to come check out the 8125 or his little brother the 2125. 96 rock is doing a live broadcast all day and there's free food and sweet prizes. Oh, and NCSU students get $50 off 2-year prices and pay no activation fees Cingular Wireless2344 Walnut StreetCary, NC 27511(next to Kohl's and BJ's)

if you like the 2125 just save your money and get the smt5600, the jump to 5.0 isnt worth the extra costah fuck looking at numbers the 8125 is bigger than the treo, thats too big for mebut maybe i could just swap the sim into a smaller phone when i need something small...
3/21/2006 9:02:47 PM
the 2125 absolutely wastes the 5600that phone is total shit compared the 2125
3/21/2006 9:06:14 PM
how is the 2125 that much betteri guess edge is nice, but the only other real benefit is the screen and on something this size i cant imagine the increased resolution really being worth the extra cost[Edited on March 21, 2006 at 9:13 PM. Reason : .]

it'll be funny to see AT&T destroy the brand that Cingular has built - AT&T is old and stodgy...only thing Cingular has going for it is the youth image of cool phones
3/21/2006 9:17:48 PM
yeah that thing is absoutely huge - its like holding a brick to the side of your head.thats why i got the imate jam (jam in the middle)you lose wifi but, its a bunch cheaper and MUCH smaller.http://www.geek.com/hwswrev/pda/jam/index.htm[Edited on March 21, 2006 at 9:19 PM. Reason : ]

how is that going to happen?does the jam support edgeis the 8125 mini sd card hot swappable?[Edited on March 21, 2006 at 9:21 PM. Reason : .]

^ the jam doesn't, but the new jamin does. (both of these are made by HTC, btw)and all that in a package much smaller than any other pda/phone on the market (that ive seen)[Edited on March 22, 2006 at 10:41 AM. Reason : ][Edited on March 22, 2006 at 10:42 AM. Reason : ]

yeah ive been lookin at the jamin (htc prophet) but its too expensive and i cant find any for sale anyways. also its processor is a little underpowered, im worried about lag with 5.0 and its gotten some poor reviews because of itfirst phone i find around $300 that has wifi support and is small enough for my pocket is my next purchase
3/22/2006 11:05:00 AM
what about the tmobile sda
3/22/2006 11:27:04 AM
hell yeah i forgot about that, if i get something soon that will probably be my next purchase
3/22/2006 11:59:09 AM
i still think 8125 is worth it

found some apps for 8125 users if anyone wants emHandango and Pocketgear have a lot of the same products. I've used Handango for many of my of these apps. Some of these are freeware and some are not. After testing I performed a hard reset and settled on these, in no particular order. I also applies several hacks from HowardForums.com links.
