my e-file was accepted on 2-14 and said that if i used direct deposit my return should appear in 10-16 days. i still haven't seen anything. is this normal, is there a number that i can call?

Am I the only one who still files taxes on paper April 15th. Its more of a sport that way. Try and start at 9:30 on the 15th and have it to the post office staying open till midnight before they close.

Penalties and interest for late returns are based on the ammount of money you owe. So if you are due a refund, i'm thinking nothing would happen if you were to send it late.

Generally you are not required to file if you are due a refund.

No I am not being sarcastic. There are tons of people that dont file their tax return, and they are not required to do so.

yeah there are lots of people that don't file and get away with it. mostly teens that make less than a couple grand a year.but if you are due a refund, they normally don't push it too much since it is screwing yourself
