3/17/2006 10:21:41 AM
3/17/2006 10:24:18 AM
I fully expect Herb to dismantle Barnes on National TV.
3/17/2006 10:26:12 AM
Sendek owns Calhoun
3/17/2006 10:47:25 AM
Im digging trying to find his lifetime record vs Calhoun... but i cant..1-1?
3/17/2006 10:55:42 AM
2-0bullshit foul on hodge
3/17/2006 10:57:14 AM
i know what happened last time we played and Sendek owned his ass
3/17/2006 10:57:26 AM
the term "owned" might be stretching it a little.. and i support herb.
3/17/2006 11:02:30 AM
^^ha, more like Hodge owned him thanks to not calling the timeout so Herb could draw up his same stupid play.[Edited on March 17, 2006 at 11:04 AM. Reason : a]
3/17/2006 11:03:28 AM
So using the transitive property I came to this conclusion.Herb own Calhoun.Calhoun owns K.So therefore Herb owns K.
3/17/2006 11:03:59 AM
sendek is undefeated against calhoun in the last 3 years...thats pwnageunless its sendek in which case he doesnt pwn anybody
3/17/2006 11:04:03 AM
yeah lets ignore what kept us in the game, and leading for the majority of the second halfall hodge ignoring the coach
3/17/2006 11:04:19 AM
so in essence, Hodge owned Herbhaha, that sounds funny
3/17/2006 11:04:25 AM
in essence, Herb ownS Calhoun
3/17/2006 11:04:46 AM
In essenceThe Technician is a shit rag.
3/17/2006 11:05:35 AM
how many times has herb called time out to set up a play and it actually was effective, im not talking make or miss, i mean a good play that got the team a good look... the BC game was a good example
3/17/2006 11:06:53 AM
definately an area herb needs work in
3/17/2006 11:07:57 AM
Oh come on man, don't you remember the beautifully designed play with Bennerman's shot off of the side of the backboard. Now that's what I call genius [/sarcasm]
3/17/2006 11:09:06 AM
YeaI personally heard Herb tell Bennermen to bank it.
3/17/2006 11:09:40 AM
of course shit happens like last year i think in the unc duke game where jj said he knew exactly what mccants was going to do because he did the same thing in the game winner against uconn... so in that case it was a good play it just got blown up
3/17/2006 11:10:11 AM
i like how herb uses early game timeouts to get 20 point leads on george washington and boston college so we dont need buzzer shotsoh wait, did i just give props to herb? TWW DOESNT TAKE TOO KINDLY TO THAT SHIT
3/17/2006 11:10:42 AM
that comment needs its own threadMake it NOW!
3/17/2006 11:12:36 AM
see, arizona is lookin tough
3/17/2006 12:50:10 PM
hodge didn't let herb call a time out in the last 10 seconds when we beat uconn, he just took it to the basket himself. doesn't this seem like a good coaching decision on herbs part? I think that coaches have the ability to call a time out from the bench if they want to. But he was smart enough to realize that we don't need a time out when the game is on the line and our best player had the ball. how is that not a good coaching decision in a pressure situation?
3/17/2006 1:03:09 PM
^learn to accept the fact that these idiots will give herb no credit whatsoever. it's this simple:something good happens: credit the players, throw in some BS about it being in spite of horrible coachingsomething bad happens: THAT IS THE COACHES FAULT, FIRE HERB!!!!1 OMFG!!!!111 FIRE FOWLER AND HERB!!!! WE ARE MEDIOCRE
3/17/2006 1:05:27 PM
i just remember when our players missed those last second shots (and herb wasn't in so much hot water) it was our bad fans bashing them, not herb
3/17/2006 1:09:35 PM
but we have a game to play today, i hope and doubt our players/coaches are worried about anything but Cal, we should be fine. They said grant might be guarding their center so simmons can guard powe
3/17/2006 1:10:55 PM
arent worried about anything but cal i mean
3/17/2006 1:11:25 PM
3/17/2006 1:15:36 PM
^^^^^learn to accept the fact that these ass kissing idiots will never criticize herb whatsoever. it's this simple:something bad happens: blame the players, throw in some BS about it being in spite of great coaching, or maybe blame it on an injurysomething good happens: YOU CAN ONLY GIVE CREDIT TO HERB, GIVE HERB AN EXTENSION!!!!1 OMFG!!!!111 OUR FANS ARE EVIL!!!! WE ARE AN ELITE TEAM
3/17/2006 1:19:06 PM
except your pea-brained 'point' completely falls on its face because the vast majority of herb supporters here know he isnt perfect and know that there are issues he needs to address.we just arent stupid enough to ignore all the good he has done, and continues to do for the program, where as you are.
3/17/2006 1:35:54 PM
^has herb even gotten to cut down the nets?do they do that after a BCA Classic?
3/17/2006 1:41:06 PM
please keep goingyoure showing how fucking stupid you are
3/17/2006 1:42:29 PM
You are showing how fucking stupid you are by supporting a coach who hasn't done a fucking thing
3/17/2006 1:43:05 PM
that's the problem, you don't know just how much he's done, and that's exactly why you're a dumbass
3/17/2006 1:46:54 PM
a big 12 team hasnt won the ncaa tournament since kansas in 88, that conference ins't nearly at the same level as the acc, so how is it such an accomplishment that barnes has won their conference tournament, we would have won thier tourney a few time too since 98
3/17/2006 1:48:34 PM
3/17/2006 1:53:59 PM
^Well holy crap, I agree with that.I think Herb's the right coach. I also realize that no one's perfect.
3/17/2006 1:55:04 PM
^plenty of us have said the same thing in almost every one of these threads. i know i sure have. yeah there's things herb could improve on, but we shouldn't fire him over them.
3/17/2006 1:55:46 PM
yeahthe rebounding margins I can excuse simply because of our style of playthe end of game situations have me baffled as does herbs reluctance to be more aggressive after he has built up a lead.
3/17/2006 1:59:21 PM
Well, I have said numerous times that it's not Herb holding us back as much as it is the offense. Problem is, Herb continues to use this offense. I said I'd get off of Herb's back if he'd switch back into the offenses he learned under Pitino (now that he has the athletes). Pitino used a lot of 3's when he coached at Providence, but as soon as he got to a major conference he started playing a more athletic offense led by great PG's and big men...and really began an inside-out gameplan I just will not support him as long as we run this offense. Not becuase it's not flashy or uptempo, becuase there's quite a few achilles' heels it causes (one dimensional, killed on rebounding, lack of athleticism.... or at least doesn't let you use your athleticism as much as possible)I don't think that's Herb's fault, it's just how the offense is....and great teams have great inside games and control the boards.
