prefer a pioneer since I am used to them and all the features but not necessary. just something that sounds good and can play cds (burned ones also since my last one crapped out) I would like it if it had sub controls and stuff but again...not necessary.

how much would you give me for a fully functional pioneer premier P740MP that has a loose connection in the faceplate. everything works, it always plays and the buttons always work, but sometimes (especially when cold), the display won't show.

It depends on what you're wanting. I have a Pioneer P6600 that is a few months old and in great condition. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4039_50622995,00.html?compName=PNA_ProductDetailComponent Only thing I didn't like about it is that it didn't play mp3's. Comes with remote and everything. May have to buy the wiring harness and adapter kit for your vehicle though. I found a great deal on a P6700mp which plays mp3's and wma's so I jumped on that one and took the 6600 out.
