First off, I have been having problems with internet speed for about 1 month now....I am assuming that I got some sort of virus, malware from BitTorrent....I have run Hijack this a number of times and checked it on Hijackthis.de each time (corrected a few minor things the first couple times, shows nothing dangerous now though)Run Adware, and get 1-5 problems each time, I erase them every timeAlso have TcpView and nothing looks too out of order, but I am not an expert with this programThe main problem shows up when I run Spybot....each time there are 25-27 problems, even when I fix them, and run the program again immediately the same shit comes back up, the only success I have had is removing the ethernet cable, running all my programs, and restarting the computer, then connecting to the internet again, but this is just a temporary solutionHere is the shit that comes up in Spybot:(1) Advertising.com(2) Avenue, A, Inc.(3) DoubleClick(4) FastClick(5) HitBox(6) MediaPlex(7) ValueClick(8) Web Trend liveAny help on this would be great.....it is really debilitating to my internet speed and computer function!!!Also: I have Norton up to date[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 11:22 AM. you can try running spybot, spy sweeper, and ewido in safe mode. the safe mode part is key.

run the scans in safe mode.use a temp file dumperand i seriously doubt a virus is hogging your bandwidth anyway.

Spyware solution:Download Microsoft's Beta Version of their Antispyware. It should take care of all of those problems in no time.

^^ I would say yes. If you have a real problem with spyware, and you dont want to change your browsing habits, then install windows defender and Webroot.
