i didn't read that. way too long and I hate Caulton Tudorbut I did have a dream last night that Sendek involuntarily resigned after the tourneyand the dream followed with our record getting worse and worse over the next few years and then seeing the vocal minority getting fed up with the new coach and begging to buy out his contractmy dreams are rarely this vivid

Let's at least wait until Friday (around 9pm) or Sunday to make a rash decision.Tudor again sidesteps the question: Who the fuck would want to come here?
3/14/2006 10:06:01 AM
^who the fuck would go to UCLA after they fired a coach that went to 5 sweet 16's in 6 years^who the fuck will go to IU after firing a coach who MADE THE TOURNAMENT this year, and went to a Final Four 3 years ago^who the fuck would coach Tenn. after firing a coach that won 20 games a year for 4 straight years
3/14/2006 10:09:13 AM
3/14/2006 10:13:32 AM
and not only is Sendek getting called out by the media, now the Chancellor is getting dragged in"put up or shut up" type thing from Tudor. really backs the Chancellor into a cornergg, Caultoni really hope we get a new coach and we have .500 seasons for the next 5 years
3/14/2006 10:13:54 AM
Just so you can say you're right?I fucking hate that attitude in a lot of our fans. "I hope we lose so I can be right"fuck that.
3/14/2006 10:16:33 AM
ok fine, I hope we are one game over .500 for the next few yearsthey won't be losing seasons, but they'll definitely a step down from what Herb brought usthen these young bucks can realize what it's like to play in an NIT game
3/14/2006 10:18:28 AM
fuck Tudor
3/14/2006 10:18:37 AM
I'm not a Herb fan, but I'm afraid that getting rid of Herb would be similar to Nebraska firing Frank Solich because he was "only" 9-3 in football. How has that worked out for them since then? It took them about 3 months to get Bill Callahan to come in (because everybody else turned them down), and they're in a downswing right now. Admittedly, part of that is because they're bringing in an entirely new offense, so it'll really take a few years to see the final result. That being said, Tudor is right in that our goal needs to be to have the best program in the country. I think Herb has done a FANTASTIC job in the progress our program has made in the last 10 years since the Les Robinson days. But I don't think Herb is the guy who can get us a national championship. He's "fixed" the program, but he's not going to get us any farther.[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 10:32 AM. Reason : Frank Solich, not Tom Osbourne. My bad. =)]
3/14/2006 10:25:04 AM
You mean Solich. And I agree... 4th choice Callahan...Someone will bring up Zook and Florida but please show me who the Urban Meyer is this year in college bball?[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 10:26 AM. Reason : f]
3/14/2006 10:25:50 AM
^^ and what do the moronic fans do to thank Herb for turning around the program? they talk shit to him whenver possible, boo him at games and force him to leave Raleighgreat job, guyshope you're proud of yourselves

3/14/2006 10:43:00 AM
Herb is 5-17 I believe vs UNC.Care to guess what Valvano was? 6-18
3/14/2006 10:45:38 AM
4 of Herb's wins came from the worst teams UNC has fielded in decades (Matt Doherty). Valvano did it in UNC's prime vs. DeanBad analogy
3/14/2006 10:47:17 AM
I'm not using it as an analogy. I'm presenting factual numbers. How you use them is up to you..Sloan was 13-26..
3/14/2006 10:49:18 AM
gotta love accurate and responsible commentary :x I <3 the interweb
3/14/2006 10:49:37 AM
And Sloan and Valvano both won a national championship and multiple ACC titles in their first 10 years
3/14/2006 10:50:25 AM
and Case won ACC titles because the tournament was held at Reynolds
3/14/2006 10:52:15 AM
and monkeys might fly out of my butt
3/14/2006 10:57:57 AM
^now THAT'S talent! You should be a coach!!?!?
3/14/2006 10:58:30 AM
3/14/2006 11:05:36 AM
Regular-season titles don't mean shit [/spittoon]
3/14/2006 11:20:37 AM
^Remember when UNC cut down their nets for a regular season "championship"???HAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
3/14/2006 11:21:53 AM
Tudor is spot-on. If State fans and the administration are ok with settling for Sendek, then they will settle for being third place.I think most fans are tired of settling. This isn't comparable to Solich's situation. Solich won a conference title in his six year stint at Nebraska, played in two BCS games (winning one of them), and played in a National Title game. He also had winning record against rival Colorado (4-2) and broke even with rival Oklahoma (1-1).Herb, in ten years, has come no where close to matching those similar accomplishments in basketball.[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 12:54 PM. so we revert back to the number one complaint against him being lack of emotion?in that case lets hire pete gillen
3/14/2006 2:13:34 PM
^you jackass, you know thats not my number one complaint for him, but that would certianly help.
3/14/2006 2:21:17 PM
if him holding a PC and going apeshit on the fans would get you back in his corner, how could that possibly not be your number one complaint?
3/14/2006 2:22:36 PM
herb has shown an increase in emotion over the past couple years that ive noticed.i mean he got a T this year...ive never seen him get a T before.i mean assuming his staff isnt wiping up sweat[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 2:24 PM. Reason : i mean i mean i mean i mean]

^^^You know what I'm saying...you've read what I've posted over the last couple of days, and Herb's lack of emotion is NOT my number one complaint. I just agreed with the post I quoted.[Edited on March 14, 2006 at 2:28 PM. Reason : ]

The alumni hated Davis at IU. They're a bit like Carolina alums were when Doherty was there. Didn't want him to start with and so every loss proved they were right. They think the same thing too as Carolina, that if they bring in a coaching legacy that "was passed from Bob Knight to Steve Alford" that it'll make the team magically better, even though Alford's nowhere near a Roy Williams.
3/14/2006 3:15:33 PM
I would take Mike Davis - but he's just a black Herb

3/14/2006 5:14:47 PM
