Gardner or Emigh...which professor would be the best to take? I'm particularly interested in information regarding Gardner...

I've heard Gardner is pretty rough over the summer, however GN 411 isn't an easy course.

I'm taking GN 412 with Gardner right now and personally I think she's a bitch.

While Dr. Emigh isn't exactly a barrel of sunshine, I would much rather take his class than Dr. Gardner's. Plus if your follow his course pack and go to class, his stuff really isn't much harder than any other science class that you might take.

they teach different ways.

so its pretty much down to whichever fits your schedule. although i found emigh to be a tad bit easier. maybe thats because my summer course with gardner was work from 7am-10am then class til like 12, then work after class til like 5pm or 7pm. i was tired all the time.

take emigh..hes not that bad cause you can look at all his old exams, he makes his exams tricky though, i would not recommend gardner

also, during the semester i went to his class maybe once every 2 weeks and towards the end of the year, I never went and got away w/ a B

I know GN 411 is going to be hard, but I just don't know if I should get it over with and take it this summer or wait and take it in the fall. Any suggestions?

is gardner really that bad? i sign up for her because i didnt wanna take Genetics and Biochem at the same time....and emigh is only teaching during SS2....

I agree...I am not too crazy about either one of them, but I would very much rather take Emigh than Gardner
