Im curious who in the area actually does high quality exhaust work. Good looking work.

This wont cut it.

Sure sure it probably works just fine. Who cares if it looks like shit right?

well thats not mine, i used that pic as an example

but yeah ill need some trick work done on the bonneville when its time for a new muffler. the stock piping is 100% welded, 2.5in mandrel bent (supposedly 304 stainless) to the rear of the car, then a transverse muffler like a camaro, then the outlets are 2.25 to the tips. ill probably be needing to have a fbody muffler fitted to my hangers and then the stock tips fitted to that. in the end i want it to look stock.

is R&J the place i heard about in apex?

it came with a fully welded mandrel bent 2.5in exhaust from the factory. most people would be lucky to be able to upgrade their stock shit to something this well built. its lasted 10 years and 170k so far and the only problem is the outer shell of the muffler has some pinholes in it. im not gonna take it down to henrys and let them hack it up and put some sloppy bullshit on there.

i used not to care, but i grew up and do things differently or at least try to now. after its all said and done getting it right the first time is worth it. plus i decided to keep this car long term before i did all that work to it in dec/jan so i dont want to be fixing botched exhaust repairs every year. if that makes me picky so be it.

R&J in Apex has done 5 true dual set ups for me in the past 7 years. Robert (the owner) does beautiful work but I dont believe he works much out in the shop anymore. The last job he did for me was ok at best. I think one of the other guys in the shop did it. My friend dropped his car off there to have stainless tips put on his mudstain and when he got his car back The stainless tips he brought them were nowhere to be found and they had his car a week b/c they lost his keys and someone also took all the change out of his console. I wont go back there again because of his experience.
