I have an adaptor that lets me watch cable tv through the computer but does anyone know how to use the audio/video inputs so i can view the ps2 games on my computer

i have a dell angel usb tv adaptor. it has a cable input, the audio/video input, and a s-video input. i want to use the a/v inputs to use my laptop as a screen while i watch b-ball on tv. But i dont know where to set the input settings on my com. Dell supports sucks and keeps referring me to some pay site. Can you help
