I am going to the beach either thurs or sunday and am looking at the following campgrounds. anyone know anyting about any of theses? Cedar Island,Cape Lookout, Cape Carteret, Manteo, Rodanthe, Hammocks Beach or Carolina Beach campgrounds? Carolina is the only one ive been to before and i thought it was nice

yeah, but you have to pay to get on carolina now don't you?

yeah, but its not much, all the campgrounds i listed are under $20 a night and its more than just me going making it even cheaper

Cape Look Out is terrific-- No big crowds, lighthouse, small museum and toilets (if you don't feel like roughing it)-- Just park your tent behind a sand dune and you're good to go. On the boat ride over , you can catch a glimpse of wild horses frolicking on the shore. Oh yeah look out for the 4-wheelers driving through the dunes
