NASHVILLE, TN?

Anyone ever been there? Isn't there supposed to be a full scale replica of it? Has anyone been there? Worth it? Thoughts?

I saw it several years ago. It's pretty cool, I guess, but I wouldn't plan a vacation around it.

Its one of those things where if you're on the way by it, its cool to see. I certainly wouldn't make a special trip out there for it though.

haha. I live about 2 minutes from it right now. Yeah, it's a full scale replica they used for a world's fair or something a while back. It's mainly filled with artwork and stuff like that. There is about a 40 ft. tall statue of Athena on the inside that's pretty cool. I think it costs about $4 to get in and walk around. Like other people said, it's not bad to check out if you're in town, but i wouldn't plan any kind of trip specifically around it

i grew up in hendersonville - it's worth a visit once every ~10yrs maybe - def. not more than that

^^^i was gonna go when i lived in the UK last year, but there was scaffolding up around the whole complex, so i didn't wanna ruin it and told myself I'd go to Athens when I could see it with no scaffolding...

whatever you do, don't use the blue ridge parkway if you're trying to get anywhere fast...maybe do a section of it from one on-ramp to the next off-ramp along your way. my aunt thought "parkway" would be fast once, and then found it has 35 mph speed limits.
