They're going into OT now, amazing play by San Diego to tie the game up.
3/5/2006 10:10:42 PM
dont you mean amazing travel?
3/5/2006 10:11:23 PM
the point is, lets go SD
3/5/2006 10:19:26 PM

3/5/2006 10:24:58 PM
looks like the zags fags will get it done again
3/5/2006 10:26:38 PM
^ clever
3/5/2006 11:43:03 PM
I have a question, ESPN said if the zags lost it would have ended their win streak, but since it is the conference tourny, does it count as a home game officially?
3/5/2006 11:45:14 PM
^ i was thinking about that too. I would say it would end their streak
3/5/2006 11:51:26 PM
I still have Gonzaga as suspect. It doesn't help when you lose to 3 rank opponents that are ranked lower than you. It doesn't help when their sugar coated season is threatened by SD. I don't know what the NCAA bracket looks like but I would seriously doubt they survive the 3rd round.
3/6/2006 10:34:32 AM
they play shitty defense, thats for sure
3/6/2006 12:51:45 PM
3/6/2006 12:59:23 PM
gonzaga is so damn overrated
3/6/2006 1:15:09 PM
^No shit. They have been for 5 years and always prove in the NCAAs. I never pick them past the 2nd round. Hopefully this year they do the same. Always helps me in my bracket.
3/6/2006 1:18:50 PM
3/6/2006 3:48:07 PM
They will probably lose tonight.
3/6/2006 7:03:41 PM
Anyone watching this conference final? Loyola Marymount led by like 12 at the half, but Gonzaga coming back after Loyola's star got four fouls. Right now Zags down 4 with 9 minutes left.
3/6/2006 10:42:15 PM
this is an ugly game...refs just letting em play
3/6/2006 10:45:40 PM
i like gonzaga, i hope they come through and kill kids in the ncaa tourney
3/6/2006 10:51:28 PM
3/6/2006 10:55:47 PM
I like the Zags, but these kids are SERIOUS underdogs... I hope they win and maybe even get a Tourney win... that'd be great.
3/6/2006 10:56:48 PM
heres another close one against powerhouse loyola marymount(sp?) up by 1 with 1:45 remaining
3/6/2006 11:05:12 PM
wost thing is that a loss here could "steal" a spot from a better team in a tough conference
3/6/2006 11:09:24 PM
10.6 seconds leftzags up by 1loyola has the ball
3/6/2006 11:11:14 PM

3/6/2006 11:13:59 PM

3/6/2006 11:14:22 PM

3/6/2006 11:15:35 PM
^^^it was really a great step out by zaga[Edited on March 6, 2006 at 11:16 PM. Reason : .]
3/6/2006 11:15:57 PM
3/6/2006 11:16:14 PM
youre an idiot drod, he missed it, wasnt hacked
3/6/2006 11:16:19 PM
refs are too pussy to call a last second foul on the #4 team.the zag definately pulled the other guy out of the way on the rebound[Edited on March 6, 2006 at 11:17 PM. Reason : fhds]
3/6/2006 11:16:49 PM
Seton Hall beat us...doesn't mean anything. You can't be anti-Morrison though, at least give me that. you gotta love a college kid with a trash-stache
3/6/2006 11:17:02 PM
3/6/2006 11:18:38 PM
drod you were talking about the noob who shot the layup, getting pulled away is not "getting hacked"so lick my nuts
3/6/2006 11:21:02 PM
I can derelick my own balls, capitan
3/6/2006 11:22:55 PM
Never seen a team celebrate wins over under .500 teams so much in my life. Pretty pathetic. The refs jobbed LMU all night long. In the first half, second half, in the clutch, you name it, they called it against LMU. Most notably, the kid that rebounded the ball for LMU was screaming "TIMEOUT" the second he got on the ball, so logically, if he had possession at all, a TO should have been awarded. But no, the travel is called. Morrsion runs his mouth in the WCC, let me tell you tough guy, conquering the WCC is the real deal. The zags have played a number of games against inferior talent and escaped with the aid of the refs many times. They'll have a similar situation to get to the sweet 16 which they will win, and get romped in the round of 16. I've only watched 5 or 6 of their games, but they get some rediculous calls, and its a nightmare to see the similarities in Morrison and Redick's body language when they get stripped, blocked, or defended at all and they throw up their arms to signal to the ref that a foul called against the opposition is necessary because they are too great of a player to not have a red carpet to the basket.
3/6/2006 11:25:24 PM
finally went to that rib removal specialist i recommended?
3/6/2006 11:25:30 PM
i blame it on worthy's dumb 4th foul...which should have been a foul on gonzaga first, but it was just an idiotic foul and they had to play 8 minutes without their best player on the court due to that...
3/6/2006 11:31:26 PM
Zag's will be lucky to make it to the round of 32...it would take a miracle for them to get to the sweet 16...most overrated team in the country (if you don't count the 1st place vote for UNC)
3/7/2006 11:14:57 AM
Gonzaga is really suffering from the WCC...they're playing down to the level of the conference. Sure, they've pulled off the wins, but not blowouts by any stretch. At the moment they're pretty far away from the level they were playing at going into January...
3/7/2006 11:19:28 AM
Why all the hate for the Zags?? They have proven they can play with the very best in the country time and time again. Every team loses concentration playing such a shitty conference schedule..Remember this team beat MSU, beat up on Maryland, and played the best team in the country to a virtual draw... You're insane if you don't think they'll make the Sweet 16. With Morrison they are my sleeper for the Final Four..
3/7/2006 11:19:59 AM
^I think they might have beaten UConn had they not had to play that triple-OT game the day before.
3/7/2006 11:20:45 AM
they would have to be a one man wrecking crew to beat UCONN. Guys like Batista and Raivio wouldn't do squat against UCONN come tournament time.
3/7/2006 11:26:03 AM
Morrison didn't even play well against UConn. They definitely might have won that game had the night before not gone 3 OTs. I wouldn't put money on them beating them NOW of course (with Williams back) but they can play with the best no doubt...
3/7/2006 11:28:02 AM
Yes they can play with the best teams, but most women's teams in BB could keep it close with the Zags, everyone else does. But they (along with GW) are not one of the ten best teams in America, they are a product of not losing ground in th polls because of a patsy conference schedule.
3/7/2006 11:33:59 AM
It's not the same situation as GW.GW played one good team (and lost), then ran the table on a relatively easy conference schedule.Gonzaga played a very tough Nov/Dec schedule, then ran the table in a very easy conference schedule.Gonzaga loads up the schedule early, playing tons of away games against top teams. They earned a high ranking back before conference play started. The problem is that they regress during Jan/Feb because there's no competition. It's kind of like how we had that string of close games against lesser ACC competition, but still won despite the fact that we played like shit.
3/7/2006 11:43:16 AM
I'd much rather play Loyola Marymont, San Diego, Pepperdine, Portland, etc. than the likes of Maryland, UVA, and Clemson. No two ways about that. Also, you say the Zags played a difficult non conference schedule early in the season, yea they did, but they have 3 losses don't they. So they played 5-6 difficult games and won half? Not impressive. If Morrison gets in a game where he gets in foul trouble, they are in serious trouble. Let's also not forget that they played their conf. tournament on their home floor and if proper officiating had ruled, they would have lost the game before againt San Diego. Back to back nailbiter games against inferior competition on their home floor for a suposed "top 5" team is garbage.
